2021/22 Frank Lampard

I get this, but this club could completely crater his reputation as a manager. It might be better for him in the long run if he gets out of here of his own accord.
I see what you're getting at, but once you're on that manager merry-go-round, especially when you're one of the media's faves, there's no shortage of job opportunities. Getting the boot has hardly hindered the likes of Bruce, Sam, Moyes, Pardew etc etc. I'm sure Frank would be fine if he got sacked (not that I think he will unless it's relegation risk).

Can’t quite fun
So when do you think Lampard will walk away? A month? 3 months? Will he make christmas? Or he will do what his predecessors did: just wait for the inevitable and go home with a nice pay off?
depends on what happens the rest of the window. If we only bring in, say, Cornet and one midfielder - reckon we’ll be close to relegation zone, particularly with Frank playing three at the back, don’t see it panning out with the players. Midfield is too weak and needs so much surgery.

Least Dyche will have Tarky and Cornet in to work with when FL goes ?

Never wanted a manager to succeed more than Lampard, Maybe more than i did with Marco Silva. However if he doesn't get the players to fit his system or change his system he will be gone by Christmas, I think the board will be as ruthless as ever from here on out, new stadium on the horizon and maybe a new realization how dire the situation would be if we were to face relegation. Dyche in by Jan *shudders*

I think he is going to need to shelve his philosophy and go pragmatic again from the start of the season with sh*t on stick football. Bring in one player who can take a set piece and focus on goals from corners with Tarks, DCL, Mina & Keane. We ain’t going to get much from open play

I cant remember the last time Everton actually played good open football. I mean i'm talking years. And recently thats down even more due to recruitment. We've bought to many cloggers.
Got to the point lately i watch Everton out of duty. And a team like Brighton occasionally for enjoyment.
Are we the most short changed fans in this league.

Agreed. At this moment, we have the same group of players (less Richarlison). Our midfielders are not capable of playing the way Frank wants to play.
Based on signing Tarks and targeting Maxwell Cornet., I actually feel that in short term, is for us to be pragmatic and physically strong. Whether Frank would set the team up as such when the season starts, we shall see.

Totally agree with set pieces - last season we do miss some good set piece delivery. The good season in recent memory (Carlo) is when we were scoring from set piece and defending set pieces well. We didn't play well in open play.

Get him in Gilmour, Gibbs-White and another CM he wants, use the loans aggressively to fill other positions (fullback cover, striker cover) and go big on one loan for someone like Perisic who could be a 'difference' maker.
