I’m begging you to not play 5 at the back Frank. On my knees here.
This, don’t understand why not 5 in midfield and battle it out in the middle of the pitch instead of sitting so deep and every ball reaches our penalty area with ease. Why expose our horrible error prone defenders with more crosses and shots they can hardly deal with.

Remember the time Villa squirmed out of the relegation places only to go down without a fight the following year. Plenty of comparisons to be made with their owner too.

Lampard has got his work cut out. I don't see how you get this group to adopt any tactics other than all out defence due to how desperate we are in midfield.

I hope I am wrong myself, but since he's been here I have seen nothing football wise to show me he is a good manager/coach. The fans kept this team in the league last season.

Agreed.

We have to get behind the man but he's got nothing on his CV to warrant the gushing he receives from some quarters.

If last night was on Pereira's watch many on here would have been pulling down on their testicles that hard in anger they'll have ended up in the emergency room.

We know the squad is largely bang average but 4-0, playing Keane and Tarkowski in a high line jesus Fronk come on mate think !!

Inherited a Squad with very little talent, confidence and since then has been able to bring in Alli and Tarkowski, whilst seeing players he relied on (some more than others) Richarlison, Delph leave.

He’s not to blame in full, but his role will be to squeeze every drop of effort out of the players and set them up to get results from games.

If he can do that, we can stay up. All I ask for is effort, but he’s got a huge job on his hands.

Given the state of the squad, the board should have appointed someone better than Lampard, someone who failed twice in jobs where he had all the money and players he ever needed. Will go down in history as an even worse appointment than his predecessor. At worst you might see it as cynically intentional by Moshiri, appointing someone who is effectively not much more than a TV celeb, mates with all the pundits, to distract the fans and avoid too much scrutiny/criticism from the media, whilst all the time continuing to ram us down the u-bend.

As it stands he’s been backed less than the fat kopite hippo and has also had his best player sold as a result of the owner and board’s inept management of the books for years before he even arrived. What a task.
That’s why he needs 100% backing from all the fans, there has to be a big turn out at this protest on Saturday, get his name sung loudly at Blackpool on Sunday and the same against Kiev a week tomorrow

Mate, the board wanted to appoint Vitor Pereira.

Unfortunately, due to poor management, we’re a financial train wreck, who exactly could we have got, who’d have actually came?

There’s no intention here, it’s a comedy of errors all round.

For equal measure, I think he did a solid job at Derby, I don’t recall him spending money, and his use of Mount and Tomori was massive.

I think he speaks well. Bollocked the players without being too harsh and made it clear to the owners we need players in or don't be surprised if we go down. It will be as frustrating for him as it is for us. The players he has been given just aren't good enough at all and is a remnant of the poor ownership and recruitment of the club before he joined us.

It's hard to say who would be good for us to get instead of him though, why would anyone want to join us?
