No.

i clearly stated I was baffled that it wasn’t a like for like change when we were doing alright. You stated that there wasn’t a change in system.

you, my friend, are only worth what someone is prepared to pay. I don’t have £70m and can only offer co op saver points and a rather large collection of 80’s ring pulls if you fancy being bought?
Cheapskate you.

If he didn’t know what sort of mess he was inheriting before he took over he certainly does now. That was a really really bad defensive display. Massive problems back to front though. We look like we will give up chances every time we concede a corner, we have defenders that can’t play out the back, a defence and midfield that go into panic mode when pressed. We got lucky Brentford stood off us most of the game at the weekend. Tonight we got out worked and ran ragged by Saint Maximin.

When did we ever sack a manager 10 days. Come on

Every single manager who we sacked deserved it to.
I;m not saying he will be, Ilm saying there will be fans organised for that very purpose. Dont tell me that wont happen, because it will. There isn utter panic setting in here. No one has the discipline to stick and build with a manager now...and the owner is the very worst one to have in a crisis.

There is a lot of panic and fear, and understandably so with our position. I'm scared myself tonight. But the idea that means people want a new manager again is laughable. Absolute nonsense I'm afraid.

We only get out of this by winning home games. Saturday is a big game and there's no point downplaying it

Players not good enough for Everton Football Club currently

Coleman - past his best but great servant
Kenny - severely limited
Keane - awful
Mina - injured
Holgate - has never kicked on
Iwobi - dreadful
Gomes - consistently crap
Davies - limited
Delph - injured
Tosun - crap
Rondon - not a footballer

That's 11 footballers who have all been given more minutes than any of them should have been given and about 5 of them we are massively relying on them game after game. That's nearly half of the first team, week in week out, with players whi shouldn't be anywhere near this club, let alone getting playing time.

Crazy.
Begovic
Lonergan
Coleman
Kenny
Holgate
Keane
Davies
Delph
Gomes
Iwobi
Tosun
Rondon

Plus Mina made of balsawood and Gbamin seemingly finished off.

They'll all need to be moved on in the summer.

With maybe no
Mina and Godfrey and not a natural defensive midfielder, we need to really go for it at home. We have 6 potentially winnable games, not easy but winnable. Leeds, Leicester. Palace, wolves, Brentford,
Newcastle. And 4 away, though with our away from That’s asking a lot, Leicester, Burnley, Southampton. Watford.
We will need 5 wins an a couple of draws I would say.

Law of averages say we probably get something in one ir two of
Our remaining tough games. 36/37 points will definitely keep us up imo.

I would basically just go for it now in them
10 games, we can’t defend, so may as well try and out score teams.

Pickford. Patterson, Holgate & Keane till mina
And Godfrey are back, Mykolenko.
Allan, VDB, Ali
Gordon DCL Richarlison. Gray back in when fit for who ? But let’s just attack teams, especially at home,
Starting on Saturday
Weve got DCL, Richarlison, Alli, Gray, Gordon, Townsend: VDB who can all score goals.

We have to play on the front foot and that means playing a high line and just go for it and try and outscore the opposition.

The snag with that is were playing Coleman and Keane who have no pace for a higher line...no brains, poor positioning and no pace mean they shouldnt play.

Newcastle have not scored more than one goal in their last 9 games, we keep doling out points to teams below us and Franks needs to get ahold of that for upcoming games

Yes. Absolutley.

But if we get beat against Leeds or even draw the knives will be out. Make no mistake about that.

That's what the last 6 years of toppling managers has turned us into.

I fear that the frenzy to get Benitez out is a genie that wont go back in the bottle.

I'm not messing when I say that Lampard is a game away from the start of a revolt here.
It's about being fair in criticism and praise.

I don't blame Lampard for tonight. Our players were idiots. Had Holgate done the simple thing and hit it long after we won the ball back straight from their restart after we scored, it could all have been avoided. We played well until our goal, I thought. The injuries happening when they did hurt us.

But it's also fair to say he got some things wrong. The Alli sub didn't work out and really disjointed us. That's not on Alli as such, but he just isn't the player to play like Gray does. However, the injury to Mina then meant we only had one sub left and Gomes played so badly that he needed taking off as he was a liability, so VdB had to come on instead of DCL.

Taking a positive from the performance.

Theres an opportunity now for Lampard to pick a new team without any players heads falling off and any complaints about being dropped.

Hes got to go with Branthwaite, Patterson, VDB, Onyango, Alli and other players to refresh and energise the team.

Having Coleman, Holgate, Keane, Gomes, Townsend all starting together is a recipe for disaster.

Lets hope hes learned from this.
Not sure I would start Branthwaite, he looked like a rabbit in the headlights tonight, unfortunately at 19 and limited experience at this level, he needed help out there. And didn’t get it because the likes of Keane, Holgate, Coleman, Townsend. Were to busy wrapped up in their own poor performances. Amd he has no proper caption/leader to help him.

Not ideal keeping Keane & Holgate in, but think we have no choice.

Good first point though.

I think Branthwaite as a LCB in a 3 doesnt work.

He needs to play in a back 4 and at the moment that needs to be alongside the oaf.

We also need to bring in Myko (if the nexr covid test is fine) and Patterson.

I think they will be fine and more positive and dynamic with 3 in midfield as protection...VDB as the anchor and Allan + one other ahead of him pressing.

You have to factor in him being tied to Dele too - if Ali's performance tonight becomes the shape of things to come, and Frank persists with him, it'll get ugly.
