There is going to come a point where a manager needs to be supported and given time to ride out a wave of bad results. Even the Moyesiah went on long bad runs occasionally and the club stuck with him.

All clubs have bad runs except the very best which we haven’t been in 40 years. I’m okay with a few defeats it’s the months with no wins that rile me up.

Yeah Rafael had to go. Silva could've been given more time. There were shouts for Ancelotti to be sacked on here last season, but I think the club would've stuck with him if he hadn't left.

I think Frank will have had a real eye opener last night as regards our passing ability especially from the back line. Holgate, Keane and Mina who is normally not too bad are not the answer if he wants comfortable defenders on the ball.

We haven't given managers a chance.

I'll hold my hand up and say Koeman I wanted out. He'd spent massively and he'd wasted it. So in his second season I wanted him gone. The others I've supported to the hilt.

Silva should have been left longer to turn us around.
Great, we'll on that basis then, hopefully you will support Frank to the hilt too.

The players look shot from a confidence point of view. Understandable after the poor run of results. Do we have a psychologist to reset their heads? The BT commentator last night described Everton as passive, which in my opinion was spot on. It looked like we were just going through the motions and waiting for the game to end.
I dont think we even have a head physio much less a sports psychologist. Knowing the club they would just stream episodes of ted lasso as motivation.

I know it sounds mad, but it must be humiliating for those players to show every new manager + coaching staff what a spineless group they really are.

Imagine Keane, Gomes, Coleman, Holgate, Pickford, Allan walking into dressing room after that and seeing world class players like Lampard, Cole.

Shameful.

And then they leisurely stroll back to their massive homes, put on their lovely silk pyjamas and all is well again...

Good luck, Frank.

That's absolutely horrific.

I'd get a massive poster, print it 1000 times and stick it all over FF so the players every day have to see it.

I'd be asking them "Do you want to be remembered as the players who sent Everton down for thr first time since 1951 and be remembered as the squad who had no bottle, heart, desire and passion".

Mate, are you honestly telling me after 6 years of hounding managers out Lampard will be handed the rest of this season to get it right if things aren't going well?

What a bizarre claim - if that is your claim.
Dave, don't be disingenuous, you know full well that, our last manager apart, no Everton manager has been 'hounded' after 2 or 3 games. Stop being a contrarian for just a minute.

You know very well that most of our fans are aware of how bad things were when Lampard came in and will not be holding him responsible away time soon.

I do, however, fully expect you to be monitoring every news report and the comments on this forum, just in case you see one or two negative comments in the next couple of weeks. You will then, undoubtedly, quote them triumphantly and say see I told you so

It's too easy to just say the players don't care about the club etc etc. The real reasons we keep getting beat were firstly down to atrocious management of the resources at his disposal and secondly some of these players are just not that good. The first we've done something about the second takes a bit longer but we have just added a little bit more quality than we had. Time is now needed for lampard to try and get a tune out of the resources available and the game against Brentford was a good start. Newcastle obviously wasn't but we aren't going to turn into an unbeatable side in a week. Patience is needed and an understanding that it'll take time rather than screaming every time we don't play well.
