It's too easy to just say the players don't care about the club etc etc. The real reasons we keep getting beat were firstly down to atrocious management of the resources at his disposal and secondly some of these players are just not that good. The first we've done something about the second takes a bit longer but we have just added a little bit more quality than we had. Time is now needed for lampard to try and get a tune out of the resources available and the game against Brentford was a good start. Newcastle obviously wasn't but we aren't going to turn into an unbeatable side in a week. Patience is needed and an understanding that it'll take time rather than screaming every time we don't play well.
Agreed.

People also need to realise that we actually have no control over the situation. So our energy is best spent supporting the team as best we can wherever we can.

With that said, when you continue to see the same people making the exact same mistakes every week, it's depressing. Coleman has gotten away with murder this season. I hate to say it because he is a passionate player but he is totally utterly finished.

I think what always perturbs me is how jovial and chipper the players are during the training clips, they seem oblivious to their current plight. I want to see some steeliness in their disposition. They look like they're going to summer camp

What else are multimillionaires doing a job they are supposed to love, a job they are supposed to be good at meant to look like? It stands to reason.

I was actually impressed with his post game interview. He didn't make excuses just stated it wasn't acceptable. Took responsibility for the result .He just has to back his words with actions now

I liked his interviews when he was Chelsea boss...always honest and fair...he was also not afraid to talk up his team before games which I liked (i'm tired of hearing managers talk up the opposition)

Probably get paid the same win, lose or draw mate, maybe performance paid contracts are the right way to go, annoys me on paper, we have against at least half of our opponent's, superior players, but week in week out we are outfought, bullied, outran.

Wasn't happy with Pickford all through that game, hardly ever comes for a ball or commands his area, his kicking and distribution, supposedly one of his strong points were atrocious last night. Whole defence was a bag of nerves, midfield by passed with ease, I know the injuries disrupted us, but there again, what do we do in training that makes us so much more susceptible to picking these injuries up, we must be the most injured team in the league. You could see last night we tried to play joined up footy and failed miserably.

Some players are here on borrowed time, Keane, hapless, Coleman too old, Holgate not good enough and I feel we should be looking for a new goalkeeper and a fast mobile defensive mid. We do have some good players but they are being dragged down by too much medriocrity. I still feel we have enough to get us to safety, but that depends on a bit of luck with injuries and player application.

That's what I find disconcerting is that it's the supposedly seasoned pros who have ample experience are the ones who seem to display the most anxiety. They're obviously a flawed squad but the results are just so embarrassingly dire. Hopefully Frank can create an environment where theres more stability and create something passable on the pitch. But I agree relegation shouldn't happen even with this squad.
As you mentioned we lack players to suit many requisite roles that they the current squad seem incapable of performing. DM , proper experienced fullbacks and a cb should of been the priority

That's absolutely horrific.

I'd get a massive poster, print it 1000 times and stick it all over FF so the players every day have to see it.

I'd be asking them "Do you want to be remembered as the players who sent Everton down for thr first time since 1951 and be remembered as the squad who had no bottle, heart, desire and passion".
Ah mate the poor lads. Tantamount to bullying that. You like seeing grown men cry?

And when you put the players you`ve mentioned into the team, we immediately start on the back foot.

Every team in the league has sussed us out. All they have to do is come at us with pace / put balls into the box with pace and we`re knackered.

He really looked shell shocked especially the one where he was sat inside looking down a dodgy webcam feed. If you haven’t seen it then it was on beanyman sports on YouTube or something.

It really looked like the size of the job had dawned on him

What concerns me is that he couldn’t sort the Chelsea defence out with the quality they have. The Chelsea fans liked the attacking football he played but they were defensively frail, especially from set pieces. Playing attacking football here with our defence & midfield is asking for trouble. Really think we’d have been better with an interim manager until the end of the season. Defensive football, given our predicament, with the attackers we have will see us pick enough points up. I worry we’re gonna be too open, cranking up the pressure each coming week & a tricky run of games to come. I genuinely fear for us now.
