2021/22 Frank Lampard

I think he was a whiskers breath of taking Derby into the financial promised land of the premiership,
He took the Chelsea job when others didn’t want it due to the transfer embargo, how did Lampard compete?

He used the academy structure to supplement the first to provide a continuity of football symmetry on the pitch. He had athletic , dynamic players in their correct strength areas.
His champions league record was impressive . The following season the Chelsea hierarchy were eager to purchase new players, I doubt he had a large say in the players.
He is a born winner, trust in him to be bold and innovative. As a support you most likely have a greater influence in your progress than the corporate intervention .

I think we might get a few Brentford type performances and a few Newcastle type performances thrown in for the remainder of this season…I reckon it could click for us at home but we will leak some goals away.

Tbf after the benitez debacle I would happily take that chance for the run in - as I think we ‘might’ just have enough quality going forward to win us enough points.

Barring Ancelotti and the games with no fans (where lots of teams excelled away from home in the league) Everton have been abysmal for years and years. The home form is absolutely key and hopefully Lampard and his staff are looking into providing aggressive, attacking football to get the fans on board because the club desperately needs it to pick up points

Need to stick with him, like we did DM...come what may.

Is really necessary to start picking holes in Frank Lampards record ? all it does is causes more splits in the fan base when we all need to be pulling together, There will be enough people laughing at us and hoping we go down without arguing amongst ourselves.
He is our manager now and we need to support him and stick with him relegation or not have faith that he will get it right.
At the end of the day if he bombs in this job he will be finished as a manager lets back him 100% and let him get on with the job.

Well said.
The investement into lampard now is non refundable. The liklihood he will make errors. Wont have problems. Be questioned, is guarenteed. But we know what we've tried to buy into. If lampard had been a raving success at Chelsea he wouldnt be here. If Everton had ran themselves better in the past 5 years lampard wouldnt be here.
This one stays. Even if the worst comes to the worst this season.

I'll say for Lampard what I've said for previous managers. If we are showing signs of progress in terms of style of play and a clear plan I'll support the manager, even if results don't go our way to start with. Unlike many I was ok with Benitez as I wrongly presumed he could organise a defence and do the simple things right to keep us out of trouble which was always our only objective this season once it was clear we couldn't spend money. However he was clueless. With Clement in as a coach I very much doubt we will be clueless again, but if we are and get relegated Lampard should go. If we are playing attacking football, and lose a lot of close games and continue to get injuries and get relegated he should stay.

Unless we fall into a Swindon Town death spiral, then even with relegation I think he should stay too. We have had simply too many managers in recent seasons and there would be enough churn at the club in that eventuality without another manager and cohort of staff leaving also.

If it does come to the worst, then at least have the manager in place and try to begin reshaping the squad at the earliest opportunity.

We have to get stability. It is ridiculous the number of managers we have had in a short number of years.
