Once I realised that, realistically, there was no chance of us getting Potter, Frank Lampard was the person I hoped would get the job. Even were we be relegated, my viewpoint will not change, we need a progressive young coach with a point to prove and Frank fits the bill. He has to be given next season to make his mark, if he is doing as well as I hope he will, if he is changing the fabric of the club, then we should offer him a rise and a longer term contract.
