….he’ll know more about his players after that defeat than he did after last weeks victory.
He's a slow learner so. We know all there is to know about these guys. What is Ferguson saying to him behind the scenes about them?

We were good away under Carlo because of the simple fact every away game was behind closed doors, we also lost our unbeaten start last season under Carlo at Southampton playing as badly as today
Nevertheless it is a FACT we were quite good - better than at home until recently. Frankie here claims away has been a 'longtime problem"".

The guy hasnt a clue what he is talking about.

….that’s a worry but he’ll have sussed Ferguson out early. You rarely see Lampard seeking his counsel and if Ferguson sits any further back in the dug out he’ll be serving sausage rolls in the family enclosure.

I'll excuse Lampard this loss as he doesn't have Mina, Doucoure and DCL all able to play at the same time so what else can we expect.
Isn't that what the posters in here that are revelling in our loss to make a point about Benitez used to excuse him with?
I think the greater point is that it is not about the manager or managers we had. It is about the players being, sadly, not up to it. Some of the most decorated managers in the game have been made to look like mugs by these lads. Yet, we still have a coterie of our fanbase fawning over the likes of Iwobi after one rare good performance - a performance that brought a win simply because four of our glaring weaknesses - Keane, Kenny, Iwobi, and Coleman - all had a rare good day on the very same day. This is unsustainable as normal service is typically resumed. Lampard will do very well to keep this rabble in this division.

I don't think Ferguson should be near the club anymore, but one wonders about Lampard's judgement if he continues to persist with the proven failures who have seen off multiple managers and a director of football at this point.

….I suspect it’s politics. Kenwright warning Lampard the fans will be in uproar if Ferguson leaves.

It wasn't real football. Things happenned that will never happen again.

Our away form in actual real football has been woeful for my entire 28 years of existence bar one season under Martinez.

And here you are again, buzzing we lost to come and make a point about benitez.

No ones buzzing, just making a point that those saying daft statements like "bitter sweet if we win as fat pigman will stick around longer" must feel silly.

Especially when it meant they were cheerleading the RS on today as they close in on a 2nd league title if City keep faltering.

We killed the reds at anfield 364 days ago. Not the best results but still some mentionable. Beat brighton, draw man u, etc.

We suck in maintaining composure, tactics, passing, defense, corners against. that is on the management. Signing several attackers when we need cb and dm, and leave promising new players like patterson and mykolenko on the bench for serial drag down elements like coleman, kenny, keane (today he wasnt the worst). thats all on the manager.

It was fun but it wasn't real football. They lost 6 home games in a row and didn't come back from 1 nil down in any of them. Today they went behind, the crowd got into it, and they blew Norwich away. That's the difference, it's enormous.

We lack guts and composure in real, meaningful football, with crowds in the building. Away from home we are as easy to play against as it gets.

Evertons away results in the behind closed door games isnt an accurate reflection on Evertons longtime away problem. Its been poor away from home for many years. The breakdown of that 1 good season away is for as good as the results were away, and we nicked a few if truth be told, the home form was abysmal. Basically played the same way at home as away. Why the likes of burnley and fulham played us off the park.
If you're going to slaughter lampard. His two home games have showed far more attacking intent than the last two managers.
You cant hold that covid ancelotti season as a yardstick for our away form.
