2021/22 Frank Lampard

I disagree. The plan by Moshiri was to make us hard to beat with a manager like Benitez who had that reputation. It failed because Benitez with his associations offered the players a great excuse to down tools and do what they do best - give up without a fight.

Lampard is a big risk. I like the idea of him - but I wonder if he can handle it.

IMO we'd have been better employing a fire-fighter type like Allardcye at this point in time not when we actually did.

As always - Moshiri gets matters arse about face.

That was the aura of what you think you'd get under Benitez. Reality of it is that he's done as manager. Regardless of our spineless team, the trajectory of the team followed his previous 2 appointments in Newcastle and Dalian.

"Solid, organised, and compact" is Bentiez style apparently yet hasn't shown that for 5 years.

The problem we have is nobody would buy Iwobi, Gomes, Keane or say Gbamin. To get rid it would have to be similar to the Sandro sale - basically a free transfer and we pay some of their wages.
I agree entirely, but over the next two to three years they will be gone as their contracts expire.

This is a long term project now. No quick fixes anymore.

Watch the panic on here when we get beat by City and Spurs...

People may panic, but, apart from that collection of multi`s and WUM`s you dredged up, to push your new narrative of " the fans will turn on Lampard ", no one will blame Lampard, as even the most hysterical on here, can see that the damage was well done, before he came.

And? There was plenty of panic after we lost to Newcastle. 3 days later they were all on cloud 9 because we beat Leeds (with the help of a good crowd). It's just the way the fans are.

He won't walk. He had 3 interviews in the summer and didn't get a single job, he also flat out refused 2 other interviews for clubs he deemed beneath him.

I did warn everyone about him. Vitor would have been a better option.
Who do you support fella? You only seen to pop up nowadays after a loss. Surprising really as if you supported our team, you would be here more regularly, like you were when the previous manager was here.

Elsewhere he gets more points out of a squad the level as we have - which is poor but capable of getting 5/6 points more than they did under him.

You're not for real if you cant see a backlash against Lampard if / when we lose the next two.

Panic will set in and the people who have demanded 7 managers in 6 years will lead the way with demands for another change. They'll represent way less than half of the fan base but they are the squeaky wheel that get's the grease, and publicity will come their way over it.

If you dont recognise that then you dont know this club.

...not this close to the season's end.

Different matter.

Lampard needs to have an honest assessment of the players at his disposal and try and find a core of about 13 players that he can actually rely on to be up for the battle, and if that means making tough choices about some of the others then so be it.

The problem is, do we even have that many? When I genuinely think about it, we don't really have any good players, or at least players that can genuinely make a difference. Take Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison. Neither can pass, neither can dribble, they can't link the play up effectively, DcL can't even kick a football properly and Richarlison doesn't even have a position. When you supposed two best players have so many shortcomings between them, is it any wonder why we're so bad?

I think Frank will realise now that at a minimum he just needs to stock the midfield to at least make us more competitive, and if that means dropping Richarlison then so what. We have to get back to basics as a team. Get the two new full backs in to give us balance and energy, send Gomes and Iwobi to a gulag and promote Onyango and El Ghazi in their places. Hopefully once Doucoure is back we can get him and Allan partnering VdB and give us a platform to build something.

Anyone suggesting frank out is nothing more than an idiot or a troll.

I'm with Frank for the long run. I am sick of this circus of instability
Disappointing Saturday, however, they are in form was never going to be easy.

Been said before our home form will be integral.

Fun time Frank is the man to get a tune out of this lot. Think Allan was subbed because of his yellow, a gamble either way, but staying on was going to be a dismissal.

We all cringed when Gomes came, im sure, and was at fault for so much of which is bad. But he is not defensive combative midfielder type, and so it unfolded.

Dom needs to get going, match fit, should he be already...

We will draw against City at least!

I can see that trying to stir up unrest against Lampard, is your new hobby horse, but it won`t happen.

Vault me.
