I fully agree
But the club signed a child to come in and replace him in a relegation scrap

That Patterson signing gets worse and worse by the minute, and not even because he's bad, but because he was just not the right signing for where we were.

It only gets worse because of the continued game time given to Coleman.

It is inexplicable that he isnt starting ahead of him...likewise Branthwaite ahead of Keane and Mykolenko ahead of Kenny.

Lampard has gone with what he sees to be experience in a relegation fight.

But hes actually gone with experience in failure.

Now we need to see positive and dynamic changes like dont play 4 defenders together when 3 have no pace or positional sense.

There won't be a cull. The club have consistently refused to do it! Why would it happen now?

The club have always retained crsp players and pedalled the evolution not revolution nonsense. If they were serious about improving there would have been an enormous clear out last summer. It didn't happen. They appointed Benitez to oversee what they thought would be mid table irrelevance
Im just annoyed at the minute and spouting rubbish mate. This [Poor language removed] takes its toll on us. Trying to put a positive spin on an absolute nightmare situation.

The worst league start by an Everton manager in the history of the club..... 5 games, 4 defeats. Doesn't have the experience to fight a relegation battle.... I'm worried.
That's 5 league games for Lampard and 3 points from 15. I'm not trying to make any judgements but I do feel benitez if he had the better players available that lampard had would have got a very bare minimum of 3 and more likely 7 points from those games. Luckily other results have gone our way in recent weeks but based on that performance we are in massive trouble .
He just should never have been hired for obvious but its hard to argue that our best away game of the season was at Chelsea......

Did you look at the results he pulled in the prior 14 games mate? Jesus Christ the amount of revisionism about Benitez is astounding
Benitez was missing a lot more key players than lampard is.

And I'm not trying to be one of them smug guys who Says oh look I told you so. I'm merely saying Benitez didn't succeed because of who he was and not because of his managerial ability. He would have been much better equipped than lampard to oversee the trouble we are in.

Everton have for YEARS had the knack of taking the ball in the oppositions box and playing it all the
way back to their own keeper. getting so sick of that. should have shockers on the players and buzz
them any time they start to take the ball the wrong way past th e centre line

Lampard somehow has to get a tune out of what he’s got to get above 35 points in the 13 games remaining. I wasn’t expecting anything out of City and Spurs away, it will be the games against teams around us we have to pick up 3s and 1s. There’s enough time and quality to fix it. I just worry with the lack of character amongst them it perhaps can’t be fixed, not by Lampard, not by anyone.
is that you in your avatar mate?

The games we lost under Frank besides the Man City game have been truly horrendous but at the same time when we played well it was some of the best performances of the season so I'm not completely worried about relegation. He just needs to tinker with the formula and generate some consistency. There still numerous games left enough to alter the trajectory and away form has been rotten all season. Only If Everton play like that at home then that's the time to panic.

I have a wireless system for my dogs which I can loan them :)

As Frank said: we know the Goodison faithful can get us over the line. Then in the summer we rebuild. It’s not that the players don’t care - it’s just that they’re mentally fragile and they need the encouragement that we fans provided them with during the Leeds match.

As an aside, I still can’t work out how Benitez turned a top 10 side into relegation fodder. Then he sold our two best players: Lucas Digne and James Rodriguez. A thoroughly decent man but an utterly inept manager.

…..I’d honestly play Townsend at LB. Wingers converting to full back is a real consideration, many of the great full backs started as wingers and we’ve seen it in more recent times at United with Ashley Young and Valencia extending their careers to good effect.

Townsend is more mobile and quicker than Kenny, he can be trusted in possession and is more of a threat in the top third. I’d actually trust Townsend more defensively than both Kenny and Mykolenko.
