Player Valuation: £60m
Went to about 25 games that season. Didn't see us win once. Highlight was the draw v cov where I managed to get a bit of turf. Even missed a penalty that day (barmby not me). Think that was the season we lost 4-1 to Coventry away in the league cup too.

This was a season even I (forever the optimist) had nightmares about. So much so, I can't remember when it was.
I think Walter was in charge, can't be certain, and it was so dire I have largely deleted it from my memory banks, or, it was all a very bad dream.
We were near the foot of the table and Boro, managed by Bryan Robson, failed to show for a mid-week match at Blackburn stating a number of his players had flu. As he had not informed the FA to receive permission to cancel, Boro had a points deduction. That saved us.
Is it me, or can anyone else enlighten me.

We don't have the squad to play how Frank wants to play. Hell, we don't have the squad to consistently play anything but park the bus. Carlo knew and that's why he GTFO. This squad is built to meet the wants of: Fat head Koeman, Fat Sam, Marco Silva, Carlo, and Rafael. There can be no one system that fits all of those recruitment styles.
Keane has to sit deep. Mina same. Coleman's got no legs. Who tf knows what is going on at left back. The midfield should be better but I think VdB and Doucoure are the only ones really suited to Frank's style, but it feels like there are too many similar players in the current midfield 3. Attack should be decent with Richarlison, Lewin, Gordon and Gray. But if the other 7 outfield players are struggling then attack will be toothless
