I like to think I'm not knee-jerk.
I try my best to take a balanced, pragmatic view.
I wanted Frank Lampard from all media linked names.
But...
- 0 goals in our last 4 league games.
- Prior Wolves today;
"for the second time in three Premier League matches, they were unable to find the target with a single shot. Before this, they had managed to muster at least one shot on goal in each of their last 80 games.
- Naïve at best in his setup to away games, I can't recall as bad a managerial setup from an Everton manager as his vs Spurs with how high up he tried to play.
Lampard was slated at Chelsea for not being able to defend.
Here, we're not even looking like threatening.
If we put in another performance like the last few against Newcastle, I have to say if I'm Moshiri, I gamble. I go for an Allardyce or Ferguson and hope for some bounce. Whether that's right, wrong, or just cruel - I never felt we'd get relegated even with Benitez. I feel like we're in a straight fight with Dyche's Burnley and I'm not confident.
Feel like a right tit saying that too. Fella has been here 2 minutes and comes across really well but it's the manner of the defeats, the performances and desperate times call for desperate measures.
Maybe I'm just in a blind panic but ffs, if ever a game was a must win now it's Newcastle. Let's see what he can do with a fully fit team at Goodison under the lights.
