Cos our fans are magpies. If you offer most fans Anthony Barry or Duncan Ferguson on the coaching team I think you’d get very little saying Dunc.
Which itself says a lot because most of us will not have heard of Barry until last week and Dunc has been here forever
Always gives every manager at least a year apparentlyWhat’s @davek take on Frank

Given Anthony Barry had 'positive talks' with the club about the position but ultimately didn't want to rock the boat mid-season, it's not totally inconceivable that he might end up coming at the end of the season, at which point Duncan may well look for pastures new, once the right lower-league vacancy comes up (I'd imagine in the North West - Accrington, Bury, Rochdale, Stockport etc.)If you offer most fans Anthony Barry or Duncan Ferguson on the coaching team I think you’d get very little saying Dunc.

My point was firing a club legend after 10 minutes in the job may have been perceived to be a bit off. It very well may have caused a bout of ill feeling.
It's not as though he's the main right hand man anymore. He is giving Dunc the option at his own pace to find a new club as no 1 then maybe return one day when he (Frank) goes back to the smoke.
