Embarrassing performance. A disgrace from all. Lampard must learn v quickly that set up doesn't work especially away from home. If he continues to set us so badly away from home we don't have a chance of gaining another point away and likely to get relegated
 

He needs to start Branthwaite along side Keane with Godfrey at left back
Godfrey cannot play in the centre as he’s not good enough to do it. This is what the manager should have done this today.
Sick of seeing Gomes (a snail is quicker than him) in the midfield. Should have brought the young lad on instead of him. What did we have to lose??
Lampard needs to also get rid of zonal marking pronto

First 20 we looked like a proper team.

A bit like Newcastle took a while to warm up under Howe...i feel hes just got to turn that 20mins into 30mins...then 30mins into 45mins.

Then hes halfway there.

Clearly these players won't keep up any instruction for 90 minutes.

They already don't keep instruction home Vs away , they can't maintain performance. Absolutely no logical reason why the first 15 minutes just stopped after Townsend went off. Entirely the players stopping following lampard tactics and just backing off.

He was good enough under ancelotti though. Much the same way lewen was a 20 goal striker under him and Keane passed as a premier league player.

Godfrey is the only centre half who should stay in my opinion. The rest should be replaced, braithwaite excluded.

I keep hearing this, Tony Scott mentioned it on his podcast. Will an extra midfielder really help if the other 2 are Doucoure and Gomes?

Will Kenny and Coleman all of sudden become great attacking full backs. Or make Keane run faster or Holgate be a better defender. Or makes Richarlison stay on his feet. Etc

I understand the argument, but I’m not sure it’s a system change, gets this group improving.

The biggest worry for me is our away form is
so bad, it’s going to put huge pressure on the 3 home games we need to win.
 
Appreciate he hasn’t been in the job long, but I get the impression he could never win another game and people will make excuses for him. I’ve seen nothing in his managerial career so far that suggests he will be successful, he speaks well and that’s about it…oh and he once said nasty words to Klopp.

i would persist with him next season but not at CB nor RB. Left back only or even shunt him into midfield when injuries overtake
