Yeah but the issue with Iwobi is it offeres no encouragement to the players when a good game earns you nothing and a bad games has zero impact on if you start the next or not.
Bad performances are tolerated and good ones are un noticed.

While the bulk of the blame lies on the players, I don’t really see any difference since Lampard arrived. We’re all over the place, and of course we’re a poor side, we’re going to lose games, but it’s unacceptable to repeatedly capitulate the way we do. We have the ultimate glass jaw.

I really do not buy into the lack of effort myth personally.

These players are trying, they just are shot of confidence and bogged down by years of getting bummed weekly.

Yes its up to the manager to get them flying, but I personally dont think its an effort issue.
