Isn’t it effort? We concede and its over, so maybe not effort, but certainly lack of heart and fight.
Yeah but the issue with Iwobi is it offeres no encouragement to the players when a good game earns you nothing and a bad games has zero impact on if you start the next or not.
Bad performances are tolerated and good ones are un noticed.
Especially this lot, it doesn’t take much to down toolsLesson one becoming a manager: dont throw your players under the bus publicly.
The majority of the team are not good enough to play in the premiership, never mind wear the blue jersey.I really do not buy into the lack of effort myth personally.
These players are trying, they just are shot of confidence and bogged down by years of getting bummed weekly.
Yes its up to the manager to get them flying, but I personally dont think its an effort issue.

He has never built a successful side. Derby were a financially doped championship outfit full of loaners and given the money spent on them should have walked the league but failed in the playoffs (and only progressed in them at all because Leeds self-imploded). At Chelsea he had a ready made team full of world beaters and - to be fair - didn’t mess it up, but didn’t make a case for having the job permanently; they replaced him as soon as their transfer embargo was lifted. What makes you think he would be remotely competent to rebuild us (whether in the Premiership or Championship)? We picked the worst possible manager for our current situation - can’t lift a broken team and no experience of building a new one. It’s a disaster. Can clearly hear the frustrations in his voice
This team is full of push overs
Hope we survive and he gets to bring some players in
This.He said a while ago that now isn't the time to bring in some of the youth given the situation but there has to be some new blood brought in either dobbin or onyango or some other youth thats on the edge because they really can't do any worse than some of these jokers. Also the exuberance of youth can sometimes be just what you need.
Nobody gets a free pass. Nobody gets let off the hook.Every manager makes mistakes. If the basics of working hard, limiting personal errors, and wanting to win, aren’t there, then it doesn’t matter what the manager does. No team can win games if they just give up as soon as they concede. Doesn’t matter what the manager does.
When he has a group of players who will follow his instructions then I’ll call him for his mistakes. Whilst he’s dealing with this clown show he has a free pass from me, as Ancelotti did, as Benitez did.
I think he hates the players as much as we do working with a bunch of frauds who only turn up when they play at home a feel like trying
Wich is just what we dont need. More dissent among the ranks. More in team fighting.I think he hates the players as much as we do working with a bunch of frauds who only turn up when they play at home a feel like trying
