I think it’s totally right to call them out, today was another day when the performances were unacceptable from many players. Also yes we can afford to replace many of them, I know FFP makes that difficult but some will be sold and make ok money. Total revamp needed.

It will be shortly, he'll be stuck with this lot plus free transfers next season, the more he calls them out the less we'll get for them and the less he'll have in funds

They have contracts, some may be thinking it's the time to move on (Richarlison, DCL) others may be looking at how long they have left on their guaranteed income.

What about 6 players played out of position today.
Last time we won a trophy, we had 8 points in November.
Joe Royle came in, and with the same players kept us up, and won the FA Cup.
The Managers these days are parasites also.
Martinez, Koeman, Allardyce, Silva, Ancelotti, Benitez and now Frank.
All came for the big pay off, but guess what lets blame the players

"We are playing at the cut-throat end of football here. This is a cup quarter-final to get to Wembley and if you haven't got the confidence to play, you can quickly flip it and say have you got the bollocks to play?

This is it. They are thoroughly unprofessional...professionals being able to consistently perform well.

But they can be motivated to play at certain times. We've seen that against Brentford, Leeds, City and Newcastle.

It's inconsistent and patchy, but just enough to get us out of this mess.

Not having the confidence to ‘play’ (ie in a certain way) and not trying are absolutely not the same thing. We’re very much guilty of the first, I don’t believe we’re overly guilty of the second.I’m not saying every single one of them is giving it everything they’ve got but in general I don’t believe they’re lacking in effort, they’re just severely lacking in ability.

We are giving that team today £50m+ between them a year, that should be motivation enough
