10% more. I may be wrong but I expect 110% from professional footballers considering the disgusting amounts of money they receive. However I seriously doubt even if they put in a 110% performance most of them would still be on the bench in most premiership teams if they were lucky, because they certainly don’t have the skills from what I’ve be seeing, as it’s nothing short of painful watching this lot.
I disagree I think a lot of them do have the skill, but the work rate isn’t there, how many times do our midfielders not track back, defenders lose there man, forwards not closing down I could go on, lesser teams players do it but our rarely do it. But I agree we are painful to watch.

Completely agree. Frank has only said today what thousands of GOT'ers have been saying on this form for the past eight years - basically since Roberto's 72-point season. How the players respond to being so publicly called out and ridiculed by their manager is going to be a judgement of the strength of their character.
Martinez had Moyes defence still here, when that broke up things have gone down hill and got worse and worse.

It’s not their confidence he wants to change its their mentality, totally different.

Exactly. The game against Palace had a different expectations than a league game. It was a one off, go for it, game with a boost of confidence whether it was performance related or trip to Wembley. It's the manor of the defeat. A championship side would've put up a better fight than we did.

I think Lampard has then pulled up and quite rightly implied...'if you can't do it for this type of game, how can you do it in the league?'

Really? I thought the assesment has been done and dusted: they all suck and are below average players. Some manage to rise above it on occasion, like iwobi, but they wll not answer nothing on the pitch.

We need a team performance, wich is difficult if the team and tactics change every game. Then they get stabbed publicly and this suposed to make them rise to the occasion? heres what will happen: the next game we might win, but the moment we get a goal against, it all will disintegrate very quickly. Then these words will ring in their ears and attack their confidence even further. Wasnt that what Lamps said a few weeks ago? He wants to change their confidence? And this is his solution.

I don't think they change 100% each game. It's press high, win the ball up the pitch, keep the ball when we have it, play between the lines.

The issue is...if we go a goal behind we fold. Man for man. That's clearly a leadership and organisational issue on the field not off it .

This squad's lacks of talent far exceeds their lack of application. Some things may appear basic but to be a good footballer you have to do everything consistently well, which covers all of the basics such as marking from corners, tracking runners etc. On a given day these players might be able to put a performance in, where they do the basics well, but they will never be able to extend that over a longer period of time because to do that you have to be good and they ain't.

I've given up with all of them, even the ones we previously thought were ok. Richarlison is a winger that can't dribble and Calvert-Lewin is a striker that can't kick a ball properly. They aren't good players.

Frank now knows our true predicament, that we are one of the worst teams in the league and against 15 teams or so in the Premier League, we will start the game immediately as rank outsiders. This season is just about finishing ahead of 3 teams who may be even worse than us, nothing more nothing less.

We could stay up by virtue of the 3 teams below us being so dreadful they're somehow worse than us.

Equally as worrying for me is how I can't see us not being in this situation next year. The turnover of the squad isn't going to be big enough to change things and even if it was who would be convinced our recruitment will improve? Somehow in January we spent good money on two full backs who aren't ready for the league whilst we're in a relegation battle.

I seem to remember Villa clinging on one season with a good run at the end before sucumbing 12 months later. We are very much on that path. For as much as it isn't his fault, Lampard looks out of ideas already. If we do survive, it's going to be a huge summer for him in terms of thinking about what we can do to improve because the sad reality is that the majority of this group aren't going anywhere.

I think he’s wrong to do it in the way he has because he looks to me to have lost control of himself and as a leader that looks poor.

Call them out by all means but retain your position if strength doing so.

Say “these players have to have a hard look in the mirror and ask themselves some difficult questions and I’ll be having those conversations with them” or something like that.

Dont swear. Don’t rant and rave.

The other thing is that he’s got nowhere left to go now. What is the next performance is worse or the my do another bottle job? What can he say then?

For me, he’s right to think it, and saying some of it was necessary. But not all of it and not how he said it.

Lampard is not blameless in this situation. I agreeed with Lampard calling out the players publicly. However on reflection I think this was more about the need to satisfy my own frustrations. It certainly made me feel better at the time. Now I am not so sure it is good management to publicly belittle people and maybe Chris Sutton has called this right. I see his comments on BBC. I am starting to think Frank may walk away.

Chris Sutton is never right. He pulled up Eddie Howe, who didn't win a game in his first 10 matches, and behind the scene is well known to not be the friendliest guy around.

End of the day what are these players going to do? Down tools again and get relegated?

Lamps has the upper hand. I just hope he makes changes
