2021/22 Frank Lampard

When you are in relegation trouble, you need to circle the wagons and create an us against the World attitude. Frank has tried to take credit for the first twenty minutes whilst throwing the team under the bus. When his tactical master plan was torn apart.

It is from the Mourinho book of man management. Otherwise, known as self-preservation. We need someone desperate to keep us up, not a manager desperate to keep his reputation up.
Martinez was the worst, we would get spanked and he would chat wham after games about us being unlucky.

Ive no problem with Frank throwing these clowns under the bus.

Now its up to them, do they get from underneath the bus or do they just lie there asking for the sponge, find out soon.

I don’t really recall any manager calling them out the way Lampard has, we have heard all the usual crap from them about individual errors blah blah but Lampard is basically calling them a bunch a of Sh* bags, and the majority will agree.
Time sensitive this approach... He is young manager with impressive collection of winner medals, fair few players will have played against him watched him play week in week out, coaches would have used as an example in particular midfielders. Not an approach a older or less known manager should try in my opinion. But Frank probably has the current gravitas to pull this approach off...

You think the two aren't connected?

Lol.

Calling them out in this situation is entirely the right thing to do. Its in the players interests to respond properly because they are finished at this level if they get relegated. They will have proved they are good enough to play in the top flight.
The effect of the whole thing is being exaggerated.

The players know that caving in has been a hallmark of their away performances. It wont come as a great shock to them that someone is pointing it out.

There'll be a reaction. A positive one.

Regardless of the FL comments, I expected us to get clear before they were uttered...and I still fully expect us to get out of the mess now they've been uttered.

This manager will save us from the drop and his stock will be high at the club in the coming seasons.

It's a gamble from Lampard this. Quite a final one at that, if he gets his reaction in the next March then it pays off, if he doesn't he has absolutely nowhere else to go. Our lack of options don't help him, he has to throw in at least one random untainted player in the next game I think. I would've liked to see him wait until we're on a run of defeats before playing this card, with the win against Newcastle only a few days previous I think he could saved it.

We desperately need some managerial stability but if we are here now and go on another run of poor results, which let's face it isn't unlikely, then he's gonna struggle to see out the season.

I see the bell Chris Sutton has weighed in saying how dangerous lampards statements are about the teams guts and makes a strange statement about lampard needing these players to keep him up. Isn't it these players own pride that should make them want to keep themselves up? I'm all for them being called out by him it's about time someone told this bunch exactly whats what they've been told too many times they're this that and the other and most criticism has been very light. Fair play now show lampard he's wrong if you don't he's right on the mark.

I think we maybe over emphasise the importance of what a manager says as well. I'd say a lot of players couldn't care less what is said or might even be oblivious

Chris Sutton, ex manager of Lincoln City who lost 23 and won 14.

Pretty sure he has no idea what it takes to be a football manager.

The only players that have anything about them are the South Americans, Allan Richarlison and Mina, I want the rest gone besides Gordon
Richarlison spends most of the game sat on his backside. He seems to be one of the golden boys when in reality he needs to be dropped.
Mina just isn't interested in playing for Everton and Allan has one good game in ten and should be sold in the summer.

What a shambles. And everything was rosy on Thursday night. A weekend is a long time in football.
I've never welcomed an international break more than this one.

Sutton and the beeb hate us, it's typical he would come out and say it was bad shout from the manager. Get the feeling Sutton would love us to go down tbh, along with a few other media gobshites.

I think Sunday's performance was the straw that broke the camel's back with Frank and these cowardly players - he's been taking them up since he came here and they've consistently failed to deliver, aside from a couple of home games.

He said everything the fans have been saying for ages, and it needed saying.

Up to the players on how they react now.
