Calling them out in this situation is entirely the right thing to do. Its in the players interests to respond properly because they are finished at this level if they get relegated. They will have proved they are good enough to play in the top flight.
Yes I totally agree, I’ve heard a lot on radio and other pundits saying he was wrong to do so, this squad has been massively under performing for far to long, what is he suppose to do put his arm around them and say it’s ok don’t worry you’ve tried your best . Very few are doing that imo most are playing at only 50% of there capabilities if they gave just 10% more, I’m sure we would be mid table. I’m fed up watching them so I’m very happy Frank has called the out, they deserve it.

Really? I thought the assesment has been done and dusted: they all suck and are below average players. Some manage to rise above it on occasion, like iwobi, but they wll not answer nothing on the pitch.

We need a team performance, wich is difficult if the team and tactics change every game. Then they get stabbed publicly and this suposed to make them rise to the occasion? heres what will happen: the next game we might win, but the moment we get a goal against, it all will disintegrate very quickly. Then these words will ring in their ears and attack their confidence even further. Wasnt that what Lamps said a few weeks ago? He wants to change their confidence? And this is his solution.
If the little darlings can’t handle a public dress down then they shouldn’t be wearing the shirt quite frankly. All we’ve wanted for the last few years is an Everton manager to do exactly what Frank did on Sunday and now all of a sudden some fans don’t like it and feel the players should be mollycoddled

Within reason yes however Lampard is not a very good manager himself so needs to look in the mirror

Allan has one good game in ten and should be sold in the summer
He is 31, his legs have gone and he is on £3.5m a year wages. Who would be daft enough to buy him? Only option is to try to get the best out of what we have to stay up. Slagging them off doesn’t seem to be the way to do it. Even if it makes us feel better momentarily. We need a manager who the team respect and will turn out for. Clearly on the evidence so far Lampard isn’t that man.

It will be shortly, he'll be stuck with this lot plus free transfers next season, the more he calls them out the less we'll get for them and the less he'll have in funds

They have contracts, some may be thinking it's the time to move on (Richarlison, DCL) others may be looking at how long they have left on their guaranteed income.

Keane has 3 years
DCL has 3 years
Holgate has 3 years
Gordon has 3 years
Gray has 3 years
Patterson has 5 years
Mykolenko has 4 years
Godfrey has 3 years
Gomes has 2 years
Dacoure has 2 years
Kenny has 2 months
Townsend has a year (he never lasts anywhere)
Richarlison has a year and will be gone
Iwobi has 2 years
Pickford has 2 years
Coleman has a year but he's 33
Townsend was at Palace for 5 years

And what he sees is someone who knows a thing or two about being in a room with players not pulling their weight. The man is trying his best to get us away from this mess, he’s getting Jekyll and Hyde performances from this team as a result and you can see in his face in every interview from the weekend that he’s getting fed up with the Hydes

Good on Lampard for calling out the frauds. It's the whole carrot and stick approach. Far too often these players have been 'looked' after and escaped any portion of blame for the demise of the club. Lampard at least has the backbone to call them on it. As a player he has been there and done it, he knows what it takes pressure wise to be a top pro.

Everyone from Kenwright, Moshiri, Unsworth, Ferguson, Barret Baxendale, Walsh, Brands and countless managers have been vilified, yet the one constant are the players who for the majority of the time have seriously under performed.

What's the worst that can happen? They can either have some professional pride and put the required effort in or they will continue in the same vein as they are now.

Either way the softly, softly approach clearly wasn't or isnt working anyway.

10% more. I may be wrong but I expect 110% from professional footballers considering the disgusting amounts of money they receive. However I seriously doubt even if they put in a 110% performance most of them would still be on the bench in most premiership teams if they were lucky, because they certainly don’t have the skills from what I’ve be seeing, as it’s nothing short of painful watching this lot.
