2021/22 Frank Lampard

Increasingly arriving at this opinion also. We need to stay up by hook or crook and Lampard isn’t the manager for this fight.

We need a point from every game from now on - so this is a wild idea but i say park the bus as solidly as we can.

If it looks like we need points in the last few games of the season - go for it. otherwise stop losing games.

It wasn't individual mistakes that cost us last night. It was Frank's inability to set a team up that allowed us to take the game to Burnley who had lost 4 on the spin without scoring . We started slow, again, conceded another awful set piece goal b/c of the set up. He insists on playing Kenny who is w@nk, he's got no plan for how to make Richy and DCL play together, Duc's doesn't know whether to sit or go forward, and he takes off Gordon FFS who was dangerous all game.
Wow
What other options did he have? Delph & Coleman obviously not fit enough to start the game. And started slow again?

We’ve started quite well in recent games, yesterday after we scored to go 1-1 we dominated and got the 2nd goal but had chances to score more, but poor decisions, passers, crosses was the reason we didn’t. The chance at 2-1 for Richarlison should have killed the game.

And after it went 2-2 again we were on top for 20mins, but again the same failings, most players passing the buck un the final 3rd nobody taking responsibility.

I’m not sure what else Frank couid have done. Put Rondon or Dobbin on for DCL. Or El Ghazi on or Dele for iwobi. And don’t get me stared in Doucoure, he’s useless and I wouldn’t play him again now delph is fit and Allan is back and VDB.

Not directly his fault but the nature of football means a lot of the burden will fall on him. If someone had told you we'd be in this position after appointing Lampard, no one would've wanted him here.

Even since he got the job a few of the performances have shown it is possible to get something out of this squad of players. He just hasn't been capable of doing it on any sort of consistent basis.

But the squad of players is that main reason. Even if we appointed someone else, they'd still struggle. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

You also have to think about the future at the same time.

We also had 1 fit midifielder

I think his position becomes untenable after a relegation. He won't get any sort of patience next season in the Championship if we go down. Anyone backing him now would want him gone by September if we're not in the top two positions.

Even if we stay up, I would question whether he himself would want to stay. Similar squad next year with little money to change things. Seems like delaying the inevitable.

He’s doing a terrible job. If this was any other manager getting these results we would be causing murder.
The frog is being slowly boiled.

Evertonians are so traumatised by what has happened over the last six years (and more) that we now sit like a frog, silently helpless, as the water slowly, imperceptibly, but inexorably begins to boil. Soon we will be relegated before we know it.

"Enjoy the football".
