2021/22 Frank Lampard

Frank is not the main problem but he hasn’t shown so far that he has the makings of a man who can at least get players to stick to a plan. It genuinely seems as though our team has a general idea of how to play but when things get stretched, there is no proper structure that will make sure we can hold our ground

Cost a good few quid to sack him and all his staff. Money we don’t have. Mental us
If they do sack him I imagine the calculation being made is it will cost us a lot more if we go down. Although at this stage I don’t know who could actually fix us at this point.

But big Sam or Nuno come in a at the championship and park the bus, Keane looks good Holgate the same. Gomes looks good again with davies and Doucoure. And we manage to go up.

What happens then? Do you try and get another manager who wants to play the right way. And watch these players crumble. Or do we stick with a park the manager,
Till he gets sacked 18 months later.

Whatever happens. These players and we all know who I’m taking about, need to go. They can’t have another minute at this football club. And if we can’t sell we loan

I agree in that it makes sense to keep Lampard and let him build a team long term but for me thats something we should do if we are in the PL.

In the Championship we need a pragmatist who knows how to win/draw by hook or by crook and get us back up the season after before we lose the parachute payments etc.

A season in the Championship wouldn't kill us as DCL/Pickford/Mina/Allan and possibly Richarlison will all be off at the minimum which will claw in funds to cover the losses, and the stadium will still be built as its Moshiri's golden egg to make a profit on any future sale - so realistically we need to get someone in who gets us back up.

Likewise I still believe if we had a pragmatist at the club at present they could still keep us up.

For arguments sake say if Alladyce was reappointed tomorrow - I would give him 2 seasons even if it we know long term its not ideal because he'll give us short term stability which is what I was hoping Benitez would have offered whilst BMD is being sorted, big earners go out of contract.

I can't imagine who would take it on other than Allardyce, Ferguson or Vitor. What other candidates would there be?

Edit: no I forgot Vitor has a job now. So Sam or Dunc then.

Did i read on here somewhere there is a clause built in to his contract in that if he does get the bullet before next season or relegation happens there is no pay off?

I defo read it somewhere?
