2021/22 Frank Lampard

Big Sam our serious, what to then sack him when he comes back up. The fans had already turned on Rafael the ground would be burnt to the ground by now if he was still here.

I’d keep Frank if we go down, but the only option if we don’t is a young coach to build something. This new DOF is not hiring big Sam ffs.

And Nuno spent a lot of money at wolves to basically be a boring negative team, who once they lost their 2 best players, he couldn’t change the situation and they struggled

I wouldn't be hiring him for a long term role but someone similiar to simply get us back up and then boot them and look for a higher calibre in the PL like Kovac.

I think a lot of fans are very naive to Lampard and again its not solely his fault but he's on course to do worse than Benitez who apparently is worse than Mike Walker on here so what does that tell you?

They're premier league footballers. They're not been told to play like Man City. They make simple errors. Look at this:

Dom half arsed.
Gordon half arsed
Kenny skinned.

Then...Gordon or Dom don't run back, Doucoure does having been yards forward than both.

Next phase Branthwaite, Holgate, and Godfrey all crowd round Collins without any intensity allowing him to poke a ball through 3 players.

You can't coach that as it's the basics. Engage the ball, win or fight your own battles.

The same happened for the 3rd goal.

Doucoure doesn't engage the thrower. Godfrey has an age to even stop and control that ball. He panics. Slices.

You can't fix that on the training ground

Agree insofar as the goals yesterday weren’t caused by trying to play, they were just a catalogue of players losing duels, losing tackles, unforced errors. Sitting deep with this lot will just invite more pressure on a leaky defence until the inevitable collapse/error and goal - as it did under Benitez.

But big Sam or Nuno come in a at the championship and park the bus, Keane looks good Holgate the same. Gomes looks good again with davies and Doucoure. And we manage to go up.

What happens then? Do you try and get another manager who wants to play the right way. And watch these players crumble. Or do we stick with a park the manager,
Till he gets sacked 18 months later.

Whatever happens. These players and we all know who I’m taking about, need to go. They can’t have another minute at this football club. And if we can’t sell we loan

Wouldn't surprise me to see Nuno as our next manager TBH mate. Moshiri is an admirer, Thelwell has worked with him. Has experience of getting a team out of the Championship.

But when that was going on under Benitez it was all his fault and he wasn't coaching the defence so what's changed?

You cant blame the manager then when a new manager comes in blame the players when said new manager hasn't improved on anything.

I agree the players take the lion share of the blame and have done for me all season - but at this stage of the game we need to grind out points and when you have Mason Holgate in CM and Kenny at RB playing on the front foot away from home isn't the wisest thing to be doing.

I thought he should have taken Iwobi off for Delph at 2-2 and taken control of the midfield and kept the point / hit them on the break with Gray and Richarlison for a winner.

DCL should have been hooked also for Rondon.

Bentiez couldn't set them up to defend set pieces. Not overly improved but it's slightly better. He also allowed the opposition the ball and we couldn't win it back. He basically gave teams a free hit.

That's based around the set up.

When it comes to running, pressure, engagement of the ball, that's the players application.

Errors are errors. But as Lampard has said, you allow a team into the box, they'll score. If he's pulled that up before, surely it's down to the players to change it.

Those 2 goals last night could've been avoided with a simple foul or pressure in open play. We didn't do either. It's the simple things.

It's not the manager issue anymore. Benitez was just a bad fit for now and the future. Lampard may not be the best fit now...but I believe him for the future

Frank may not be the finished article and has made mistakes, and will make more, but this mess is a result of diabolical recruitment for years, and horrific underperformance from players,

When we go down, Frank should stay and this rotten group of players should be shot out of a cannon,
We need to stick with a manager and let them build a squad. Changing every half season will never result in anything other than what we have got now.

Repeatedly changing the manager when the players are failing solves nothing.

The spells we kept the ball and passed it, we were fine

The minute we got into winning the ball or getting into a scrap, we failed.

If they bullet frank and the back room team, then I’m done with the whole farce that is Everton. We are playing a little better recently - the city game, Newcastle, wham and last night and it’s the individual players doing mindless things costing us. I just wish he would bomb the culprits who’ve had plenty of chances now and play the youth.

Think we are toast after last night, especially due to the seasons away from from these cowards.

Sick of most of these shithouse players expecting Goodison and the fans to make them play well which is really making my piss boil - have some professional pride and work ethic, you shower of dossers.

If we stay up or go, the vast majority of the squad should be binned - I’d sooner watch our u23s in the first team than these imposters.
