I want Frank to succeed, but it doesn't take a genius to know we should have parked the bus, played one up front, when we were leading 2-1.
Why was Kenny even in that advanced position to take a shot? That's all down to Frank

Agree we should have shut up shot a little but i also get the reasoning of going for another goal

Sometimes you have to have to just take stock of a situation, accept your lot and agree to see it through until the end even if you know the consequences will be bad and inevitable.

We have a bottom 5 quality team in the Premier League (being generous). We have a couple of players who'd get in sides that are ahead of us, maybe Richy and Pickford would get in Southampton's team, but outside of that the overwhelming majority of our squad wouldn't get on a lot of other team's benches. They've pulled the wool over our eyes long enough, their true level has been found out this season and it's worse than any of us could have ever imagined.

We don't have a single good player. No manager on earth could make anything out of this lot. To a man they are absolutely embarrassing and I hate them all.

They defended far better last season is the issue. So when they were coached by Ancelotti they didn't make so many errors. Then Benitez came in, changed the system and methods, and we fell apart. Once the rot kicks in it's hard to get out of that rut.

No manager is the main problem here. Not Benitez, not Lampard. It's mostly the players. But the reality is that Lampard inherited a side with zero quality, zero confidence, and zero commitment. These things got out of control under the previous manager.

I think a lot of people are putting faith in Lampard because he's likable and "young" and "progressive".

I agree its not all his fault and he's come into a tough situation but the difference between him and Benitez in my eyes is for all the debate on if Benitez is finished as a manager or not, he had a CV of success and got Newcastle promoted winning the championship if the worst case scenario happened and we did go down.

Lampard on the other hand has no success on his CV, lost a cup final to an average Arsenal side and bottled the play offs with Derby.

We should have never sacked Benitez until at earliest the summer when we had more options available to us.

If we do go down I would hope we move quickly for a pragmatic manager like Alladyce or someone a cut above the division like Wolves did with Nuno / Fulham with Silva as I dont think Lampard is a guarantee to take us back up I fear certainly with this squad.

I admire your optimisim

But we just have too many error prone players. We have 4-5 players on the pitch who have a code red mistake in them every game, some of them more than one.

Imagine Ronaldo in the air against our defenders? Yikes.
Yes I’m more thinking having Mina back, Allan, god even delph would be better than Doucoure right now. We just need a bit of luck with continuity. Iwobi has done ok, Gordon, hopefully Richarlison gains a bit of confidence from last night.

Benitez went 1 win in 14. He deserved to go

We tried the defensive park the bus approach with Benitez and couldn't defend to save our life.

Maybe the reality is that these are just diabolical football players and no system suits them. Especially since half of them can't be arsed.

Big Sam our serious, what to then sack him when he comes back up. The fans had already turned on Rafael the ground would be burnt to the ground by now if he was still here.

I’d keep Frank if we go down, but the only option if we don’t is a young coach to build something. This new DOF is not hiring big Sam ffs.

And Nuno spent a lot of money at wolves to basically be a boring negative team, who once they lost their 2 best players, he couldn’t change the situation and they struggled
