People calling for Allardyce must have a screw loose if they honestly think a guy who was sacked by Moshiri -no doubt unfairly in Sam's eyes- would (a) give Moshiri the time of day, and (b) would do a 180 in retirement to come back for an owner/club that binned him off at the first opportunity, to try to save a team that looks unsaveable, has awful fixtures, and all for the reward of getting binned off again in the summer if he did keep us up.

Absolute lunacy to think there's any universe in which this would happen. ?
Moyes went back to West Ham after they treated him unfairly and I wouldn’t say Moyes is a weak man ( I’d say he’s strong minded like Sam) . Money talks and Big Sam would get a massive bonus on top if he kept us up.

The gravy botherer loves money.

With the international break coming after the weekend it wouldn’t surprise me to see Lampard sacked and someone appointed to keep us up should we lose to the mancs. I dearly hope we do not but ….

Sure, money talks, but I highly doubt Big Sam needs the money. He's a guy at the end of his career who seems to be happy to go into retirement, whereas Moyes was in somewhat the middle of his management career and wanted to get back in. Chalk and cheese for me.

(Personally, I think Big Sam would only take Mosh's call to hear him beg down the phone so he could laugh in his face and hang up, no matter the bonus on offer. Strikes me as that kind of guy).

But they didn’t become bad players overnight….

they aren’t, they lack confidence, the pressure is crippling them.

Exactly, they lack confidence due to playing a brand of football that clearly didn't work, lost every single game and got stuck in a rut.

That's where we are right now, the players we have are 100 times better than what they are showing and I don't care what anyone says. The squad we have with confidence and a coherent game plan and tactics beats 8/10 teams in this league.

Plenty would do it for a few million.

Lose to United and it wouldn't surprise me if Frank is gone before the next game (whether that's his choice or the clubs), but never in a million years do I see Big Sam coming back. He doesn't need the money or hassle. No idea who any new manager might be come this time 2 weeks, but I can see Big Sam giving the two-finger salute to Moshiri no matter the offer.

It really is that simple isn't it mate.

Just step back Dario and hear me out on this

We sack Lampard
Allardyce gets hired
We lose the next 4 games under him and there's 5 left to play
Do we sack Him? Do people say "it's too late now so we stick with Allardyce?"
We get relegated, Allardyce gets paid off, we need another manager.
Would anyone want to come after sacking one manager after 9 games and then hiring a has been and sacking him after 9 games?
What long term damage would that do? We'd be seen like a Watford, a West Brom.
What players want to come to a club run like that?

If we get relegated, its down to gross negligence from the board, its down to a lack of quality, pride and professionalism from the players and of course Lampard will take his share of the blame along with Benitez.

I'm not even going to entertain anyone who talks about Lampard getting the boot after watching the last 2 games where we've set up fine, created chances, missed sitters and gifted the type of goals relegation fodder teams gift.
Pains me to say it macca, but I have never in my life detested(barring maybe four or five)a group of players more than this lot representing our club, absolutely sick to the back teeth of the wage thieving cowards.

Allardyce would probably relish relegating us out of spite now he's lost his record.

In an ideal world we win on Saturday. But I’d be happy if we appointed someone that kept us up, if that isn’t the Fat Sam then great, if it is then ok. But I wouldn’t want him here one second longer than needed. I despise Allardyce.

8 game contract with a massive bonus if he saves us, I reckon he would jump at the chance, I still have the feeling Sam thinks he had unfinished business here.

Just to add to this ( don't know why I'm wasting my time even replying to you tbh ) he had 1 day in the transfer window. So everything you've just spouted is pretty much null and void
No it isn't.

Top coaches improve players and create a system that hides a team's weaknesses whilst accentuating its positives. Has Lampard improved any of our players ?

Has he made us better organised at the back, improved the midfield, or has he made us score more goals. Of course, he hasn't. That is his job and he has failed.

He has just taken a blinkered view and tried to force a style of play on us that simply doesn't suit the players at his disposal. When it has failed he has thrown the
players under the bus. Game management is the hallmark of top coaches. Lampard hasn't got a clue. His substitutions are terrible and he doesn't even try and close games out.

West Ham and Burnley away epitomise Lampard. A point in each game would have seen us 5 points clear of Burnley. Instead we went toe to toe in both games and ended up with zero points. 9 games and Lampard is still to register a draw. It is nothing new at Chelsea in his first season it was P 38, Won 20, Drew 6 and Lost 12. Basically win or bust.

When you are in a relegation battle you hold what you have.
