The same moaners, eager to write off any footballing talent at Everton to show they’re more disconcerting than others, almost willing Lampard to fail so they can say their agenda was right.

Evertonians it doesn’t have to be this way. If we work together we can ridicule and isolate them to the figures of fun, the pariahs they should be. They truly are the enemies of Everton.

Unusually for us this season, he now has a positive selection headache for the Leicester game. VDB will be available, but who would he come in for? Mina will be back, but both Keane and Godfrey had their best game in a long time yesterday.
Wonder if he’ll consider bringing in VDB for Delph for the Leicester game and save Delph for the derby. Can’t see him managing 2 games in 4 days. Same with Mina- maybe on the bench v Leicester and bring him back for the derby. That video yesterday of Mina in the tunnel shows he can have a positive impact even just being in and around the squad on Matchday, even if he’s not starting. Same as Delph (even though he comes across as a massive tool at times) he’s at least got good experience and can help the youngsters.

If we'd only started the season with Lampard as manager instead of wasting so much of it on the kopite pig we'd be safe as houses now. I'm not going to pretend that we'd be competing for a European spot or anything but our home form alone would've seen us comfortably in mid-table and we wouldn't of lost two of our better footballers either. I'm not saying that Lampard hasn't made mistakes in his time here so far or that he's above criticism but I am saying that anyone that doesn't see the positive effect that he's had on the team or the connection that he has with the fans are either blind, have an agenda or are just stupid.

I was thinking this myself, did they speak to him before Benitez or was there interest. He did speak to Aston Villa before Meevie Ste laaa took over.

I guess nil satis nisi optimum means nothing to anyone anymore
I think NSNO was gone the day phrases like "at least draw againt Newcastle" and "don't lose to Burnley" and "we could catch Brentford" became common and accepted. (Plus the whole no trophies for 27 years and never so much as being in the whiff of a title charge too).

We should install those multiple choice buttons like the audience have in ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’, and let the Park End and Top Balcony decide.
Don't do that - some pillock will put Boaty McBoatface and Jeremy Beadle as our starting centerbacks for the derby ?

I think he should play the same team v Leicester.

The one thing you notice with Frank and I know he gets criticism for it, especially at Chelsea when they couldn’t defend apparently. I also thing we’ve been brainwashed by negative managers, Moyes’s default mechanism when winning or drawing away, With 10 to play is throw a defender on for a striker. And it Didn’t work plenty of times.

Koeman did it and of course ancelotti and Rafael also would do this. Even Unsworth does it for the 23’s ffs.

So when I’m crying out for Godfrey at LB yesterday to make us a bit more solid, Frank doesn’t do it. He wants full backs who can effect the game higher up the pitch. Under pressure yesterday and it’s a winger for forward, but the system didn’t change and then a midfielder for a midfielder.

Frank Is going to live or die by his philosophy and all credit to him for that.

His style I think will use a Jorginho/Gilmour type in the defensive midfield / anchor / deep playmaker role.

That could be a nice change.

He'll have a lot of power at the club if he keeps us up. Full backing of the fans and the board.

I was saying this before yesterday we need to stick with him the issues at the club are deeper than any manager, we need one to rebuild us and the squad for two seasons hopefully longer.. We haven't had a manager since Moyes able to turn the squad over so it's always been a half rebuild and you end up with a Frankenstein squad.
