It's easy in hindsight. We would all have been kicking off if Rondon was in the starting 11 before kickoff.Thought he made a mistake not playing Rondon from the off on Wednesday. We needed that focal point, plus Richarlison is simply better as a wide forward.
Gueye and Pickford worked from relegated sides, I think the nain problem if we go far back as Roberto is his replacement wasn't interested and the DOF didn't work. It's easy in hindsight. We would all have been kicking off if Rondon was in the starting 11 before kickoff.
I think we just need to accept we aren't good enough, regardless of who starts. I still believe our problems stem back to Martinez, when we started flooding the squad with players from clubs who had been relegated or were in and around the drop zone. It continued with koeman, Silva and benitez.
The odd player is fine, but don't build a squad from relegation fodder. There's only going to be one outcome.Gueye and Pickford worked from relegated sides, I think the nain problem if we go far back as Roberto is his replacement wasn't interested and the DOF didn't work.

Spot on mate, and those of us who raised voice against the most ludicrous of appointments were call ludites by the cardinals and deep footy thinkers. One of the most hideously overrated men in football is fatso…it was largely this group that was comfortably good enough last season. Full internationals in all areas of the pitch.
The appointment of Benitez has turned us sour. He pitted players against players, training ground staff against training ground staff, board members against board members and fans against fans. The whole club became divisive, soured and turned sick by one man, it’s why we’re going down.
Suicidal from Moshiri.
I agree we have to accept were not good enough regardless of who we start, but to drop Rondon after he scored twice in a 2 0 cup win, was crazy, it doesn't matter who they were against, scoring breeds confidenceIt's easy in hindsight. We would all have been kicking off if Rondon was in the starting 11 before kickoff.

Eggs mate, I think I've asked for more details before, but it would be interesting to know who fell our with who and why (I.e. what was the sticking point Benitez facilitated).…it was largely this group that was comfortably good enough last season. Full internationals in all areas of the pitch.

Id also like to add he sucked every bit of creativity out of the team. Digne, Jamo - Gylfi wasn't on him but how he could do the other two with prior Gylfi knowledge was criminal and look where we are we cant score goals because we cant create goals.
