2021/22 Frank Lampard

He doesn’t move to get in those positions. We’ve put plenty of corners into those areas, where has Calvert-Lewin been? Nowhere near any of them. Standing still being marked waiting for it to be placed perfectly onto his head. That’s poor centre forward play, at least Richarlison showed he can lose a marker/find space.
Busy pulling his shorts up or having jumped 10 minutes before the corner was taken

being brutally honest im kinda disappointed with what i have seen so far

it feels like we've been dominated in most games and have had to battle hard to come away with something bar maybe brentford in the fa cup and leeds at home

being 2-1 up at burnley at half time in a must not lose situation and we lose is just unfathomable as well

the worst part is i thought with lampard being such a great midfielder who scored and assisted lots of goals maybe he would sort that area of the pitch and bring some possessions, control and flair into the side but its non existent

this team struggles to create opportunities unless they get a lucky deflection

i know the quality of the players is generally quite poor but its not difficult to set up a cross by asking your wide players to run down the wing and then do a cheeky back heel to the right back so that it creates space for him to cross into and drags the opponent out of position to prevent blocking the cross

there's no cohesion or unity in this squad

I think you believe in fairytales :p

Managers cant magically make players have more flair, more posession and control a game...

...not this bunch of players who dont have those skillsets.

Were not going to see Iwobi, Allan and Delph suddenly become Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets. This is the premier league and those 3 wont be dominating any other teams in any possible way.

As for this...

"its not difficult to set up a cross by asking your wide players to run down the wing and then do a cheeky back heel to the right back"

Youre talking about Seamus Coleman right? That right back who cant run and cant cross.

As with Arteta at Arsenal we'll need to be patient with Lampard and have Thelwell and him rebuild.

Some managers can do it without magic

Howe is doing it with Newcastle

Moyes is doing it with West Ham

Even Jurgen klopp turned Henderson into a player of the season, prem and champs league winner

Even Brighton’s midfield can best both arsenal and spurs away with relative ease

We have poor full backs and no creative players. One AM was fiddling the under 15s and James got legged by el gordo while his weird fanbase cheered him on

Premature to write Lampard off at this point, yes he absolutely should be open to question and fair criticism, but for the people saying he's clueles, are they also saying Clement is clueless? - we have to remember Clement is vastly experienced and highly regarded across Europe, if any manager in the prem had free choice of who they could have as an assistant going into a new role there's really not many other names in the hat, Clement would never of come if Lampard was considered a clown.

Lampard is inexperienced as a manager despite having managed a genuine top tier champions league quality team fairly well under difficult circumstances and constraints. I think as a player and as a manager, Derby included, he's never been exposed to anything like what's currently going on at Everton in terms of the woeful squad and the management structure and it shows in his interviews.

We've tried every type of manager over recent years and they've all failed, every one of them in one way or another, for me now, if lampard keeps us up, he will have cut his teeth in my eyes and I'd be very hopeful but equally patient over the next few years.

Ultimately we have to remember as fans we pushed the board into hiring this guy, stay up and I fully believe him and us evolve together progressively

Howe joined Newcastle on 8th November.

They won 1 game in 8 before getting their 2nd victory in 9 games on Jan 22nd while spending £100mil.

Lampard has us 11th in the form guide over the past 6 games.

No idea what youre on about.

When he keeps us up he will have gained a huge amount of knowledge about the squad.

He'll also learn how to cope with this type of pressure.

It will only improve him.

I like him because whenever I listen to his pre-game press conferences, he's always rational and focused on what counts. He never waivers, and it gives me an insight into why he was such a great player.

This is a very difficult situation compared to other clubs because, unlike with Norwich, Watford and Burnley, it is big, big news if Everton gets relegated. He's improved the team, but it hasn't converted into points unfortunately. Had he taken over from Farke at Norwich, I reckon Norwich would be 17th by now.

The part ive bolded isnt quite true. Were 11th in the form table...thats while being robbed by referees in some games and having shocking finishing in others.
