Better to scrap wins then scrap losses, Franks isnt dong a good job, thats not to say Rafael was either, but either way as i said earlier with these players neither stood a chanceLampard last 10 league games = 10 points
Fat arse last 10 league games = 4 points
But because he scraped a few wins at the start of the season he’s a marvel
I love how Lampard and the players still get a free pass because "it wuz Benitez"
He left us in 16th 3 months ago
We are now 17th
We've gone backwards if anything.
Playing Kenny at LB over Mykolenko
Playing Richarlison up top over King Salaman
Playing a high line away against Spurs
Not taking a 2-2 draw away at Burnley instead having our fullbacks pushed right up leading to their winner
Odd substitutions / lack of proactive subs/changes.
Cock ups from the usual suspect players of ours like Keane and Holgate.
Inability from our medical team to keep our players fit.
If we go down Lampard and the players take as much of the blame as Benitez.
Lampard doesn’t get as much blame for me as Benitez and I supported Benitez as long as I could. Benitez had a clean slate whereas Lampard is taking over a mess. Both have suffered bad luck also.
Lampard should have been brought in earlier especially before the transfer window and we should have brought a CB in.
FL has made mistakes no doubt but RB killed the club this season but he can’t be fully blamed as he shouldn’t have been brought in. Under Benitez experience we should really have been ‘safe’ at Christmas.
Kenny replaced Mykolenko mainly during the start of the Ukraine invasion. Can that be blamed on Lampard?
I blame the players 90% for this season, useless and spineless for most of it and schoolboy errors can’t be fixed by either manager and these have cost us points.
Both managers made big mistakes this season. Lampard at Burnley and Benitez home to Watford. Spurs hammered us and did the same to Villa the week after ?
As @GrandOldTeam pointed out though mate you look at our form towards the end of last season and it was poor so ultimately you could argue that continued into Benitez's tenure.
Personally I think this season has been a perfect storm:
1. The Siggurdsson issue.
2. £1.7m budget in the summer
3. James Rodriguez saga
4. Most injuries in the league with our main CF persistently unavailable
5. Fan unrest
I would say its been a bit of a snowball effect.
Let’s have it right here. Benitez had the entire preseason, players fresh. He set the game plan in those months and it worked, he then oversaw the monumental destruction as pointed out in the points he gained.Better to scrap wins then scrap losses, Franks isnt dong a good job, thats not to say Rafael was either, but either way as i said earlier with these players neither stood a chance
So 19 points from 57 compared to 10 from 3619 points from 19 games under Rafael, 10 from 36 post

Walking into a team that had picked up 4 points out of 30 was never going to be “turned around” over night.
Absolute joke that people are comparing the 2 and still defending this fat kopite wombat. It’s why I say relegation is on their toes as well as the board
And I stand by that
Benitez 19 points from 19 games (57 potential points)19 points from 19 games under Rafael, 10 from 36 post
We would have had a lot more than 1.7m if the club had sold one of our better players. They obviously only wanted to sell players nobody wanted. The excuses for not selling anyone dont carry any weight. As @GrandOldTeam pointed out though mate you look at our form towards the end of last season and it was poor so ultimately you could argue that continued into Benitez's tenure.

How?Fully agree with that tbf, we looked terrible in most games last season and surely a big reason in CA leaving was he seen this coming.
Sigurdsson for me was a massive loss especially as it was completely unplanned and out of anyones control. he gets a lot of hate on here but he would have made a difference this season.
I was fine with Rodriguez going at the time as I thought we would bring a Decent replacement in, Diaz for example.
It’s like the entire preseason doesn’t factor into their thoughts. How fit people are going into the season, how they setup to approach games and defend set pieces.100%
Basically identical and identical are not the same thing, either way we're not doing very wellBenitez 19 points from 19 games (57 potential points)
Dunc 0 points from 1 game (3 potential points)
Lampard 10 points from 11 games (33 potential points)
Just wanted to clear this up because you'd mixed up your units a bit and included Dunc. They're basically identical, with lampard taking ever so slightly less per game so far.
He oversaw our worst run of form in our PL history19 points from 19 games under Rafael, 10 from 36 post
One word...It’s like the entire preseason doesn’t factor into their thoughts. How fit people are going into the season, how they setup to approach games and defend set pieces.
My mind is absolutely blown away and their thinking
