We have always had Managers whom might be trendy , too many fans on here and elsewhere know nothing about football. Remember Moyes , he was the ideal choice, I could see it but others didn't. They wanted there Trendy manager with nice hair etc, we finally got Ancellotti, not ideal but I knew he would do OK. They wanted to keep Lampard, i knew this was a mistake, Burnley etc proves it. The problem is too many people think they know about football.
Narcissistic personality disorder — one of several types of personality disorders — is a mental condition in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance
NPD - can sneak up behind you and bite you in the bum - I know

We have to stick with him until the end of the season. But would anyone really trust Frank Lampard to do a decent rebuilding job if we went down? He's a rookie in managerial terms and we would need a major rebuild.

As was Moyes
I don't want a washed up, hard nosed, seen too many murders, grizzled, bored, apathetic, know it all manager Rafael
I want fresh, bright eyed and bushy tailed, visualising all his future glories, enthusiastically building a squad

At this stage, I honestly dont think it matters who the manager is, the players are the 1s who will send us down or keep us up.

A stupid comment, im very aware, im not saying good managers dont help sides, but at this stage, I think its about the players.
Agreed. I don’t think we should have appointed him (more our circumstances than a commentary on him as a manager - too much pressure for someone so green) but there’s no point contemplating a change now.

Similarly, when we go down I think he may as well be given a shot at bringing us back up. We might even get lucky in that a season or two out of the limelight lets him hone his skills and come back up with us as a better equipped PL manager.

Cmon , he's not even had a transfer window.

If he gets us to 36-40 points and we still go down I'd say he gets a chance. Anything less and he will probably need to go

But you all know it will be a certain ex Burnley manager who ends up here then and we'll all be crying out for Frank again

Tbf I'm indifferent on Lampard staying if we go down cause I can see both sides but there really isn't any need to this to be the other option.

Just like last summer. Yet our maniac owner and some of our fans too after the fact, convinced themselves that somehow, Benitez was the answer.

He was, maybe, the type of 'safe hands' manager that was needed to operate on a shoestring budget in terms of what his style of play would be etc. Unfortunately, in terms of his character, he was exactly the wrong type of manager.

Saying that Moyes would have been ideal makes me a Narcissist. How many of you on here dismissed Moyes for a second spell?
No. It was all the rest of that post, you know? Of course you do lol
