Scott Parker or Steve Cooper would be worth a go for us. Especially Cooper it takes some doing getting a side whom were terrible last year up to the heights of the top of the Championship. Also playing good football. But the biggest thing is watching them give all for the cause. Also look at the quality of players they bring in. Lampard has purchased well at Chelsea, this is a plus point. Not sure if Lampard is suited to Championship management. The problem is if we do stay up next season we would have to sell probably both strikers. We need 6 in , center backs ,midfield and 2 new strikers. Lampard bought well but spent 220M, he did clear out the rubbish well though. We are giving our all at the minute, but it looks desperate at times.

I think we need a major rebuild of the squad. Lots of older, high earners out, and lots of younger, eager players in. Look at what he’s done with iwobi and Gordon in a short time, and in a time of a properly under performing team. I think he’ll come good wherever we are next season.(as long as Moshiri keeps his nose out)

Lampard didnt sign the players at Chelsea. The names were put forward to him and a yes or no...his choices e.g Tarkowski instead of Silva werent approved.

No matter if we go down or stay up we need a new spine of the team.

Of any manager in world football Id back Lampard working with Thelwell to bring in and develop a new young team.

Thats literally what he's known for

So in other words he's a yes man. and does what the owners want. Why do people think he was on the shortlist? It wasn't because of his achievements or 0 trophies won... Nevermind firefighting in relegation.

The Super Frankies only retort is to call you a wrongun. No answers whatsoever. As is always the case. A bottom of the barrel defence for a bottom of the barrel manager

There needs to be a rebuild of the squad but also a complete restructure or replacement of personnel in the management structure of the club (we all know who this means apart from the new DoF and manager). I honestly don't think we would notice a number of the players who are our supposed stars being sold i.e lewin (been missing most of the season and i wonder if he actually wants to be here) richarlison (runs round a lot but for a Brazilian striker his finishing is woeful) and Pickford (an ok goalkeeper that struggles dominating his six yard box). I'm not blaming these guys for our predicament i just don't think they would be missed. This along with the reduction in players through contracts ending provides room for a couple of purchases and the introduction of youth into the first team squad.

I like Lampard, he walked into a seemingly destroyed confidence dressing room. Benítez started with a clean slate, Lampard didn't, he is picking up the pieces of that utter disaster, who got rid of 2 of our most creative players because of his ego. That is unacceptable. This is on Benitez all of it on the football side.

I personally would like to see Lampard get the rebuild, changing managers again, is pointless, we are broken, really broken and we now need to start over.

Bringing Dele on was a good call. Got us a point in the end.

And no. The blatant missed calls might normalize over time but when the difference between survival and not is clear and obvious mistake or just plain bias, that is not the same for everyone over a 38 game season.

Whilst Lampard has been naive in his early away games in charge and tried lots of different formations to find a solution I think he can’t be responsible for terrible footballers and weak mentality amongst them.
Newcastle away- conceding so soon after taking the lead through Gomes/Holgate mistake.
Spurs away - Michael Keane horror show and Pickford mistake.
West Ham away - Keane and Iwobi cock-up
Burnley away - Iwobi,Holgate,DCL,Kenny,Godfrey mistakes all leading to goals.
Add to that some poor finishing from Richarlison against Wolves,Burnley.West Ham,Leicester and that’s not down to Lampard.
The dross he is working with was epitomised by JJ Kenny against Wolves with his inability to run with a ball away from our half and instead just booting it back to the opposition like a school kid. This all without mentioning the cowardly displays that Gomes put in at Southampton and Crystal Palace which were nothing short of disgraceful for a so called professional player.
Lampard’s not perfect or necessarily ideal for our current situation but the players he has inherited are mostly garbage.
