2021/22 Frank Lampard

Our home form was poor last season because of no fans (won the games where fans were allowed in).

Our home form was poor before January this season because the fans were on the managers case and the teams back. Lampard takes over and the fans have been right behind them and it's turned around. It's not a coincidence. There's not many grounds where the fans make a difference like at Goodison (and it can be good and bad). But we're still as rubbish away as under Benitez.
Excellent post. We as fans have really got to be up for the Chelsea match.

Have you ever seen the videos of people who walk up to government and private buildings, film them including with drones just to antagonise?

Strange, strange people.
Have you seen the one who gets slapped down outside St Helens police station? The sergeant comes out and says "you're only here to antagonise the officers so you can get your little comments on your little YouTube channel. Smash that Like button and do one"

Press running that he'll be sacked if we get relegated. Not sure how I feel about that.
You would have to think that'd be case, considering the owner didn't want to appoint him in the first place.

I doubt I'd care either way. I reckon he's a pretty poor manager, but the club doesn't seem to have any contacts in the game beyond this country, so God knows what sort of replacement we'd end up with.

I think it would be pointless sacking him if we get relegated. That rs scumbag caused this seasons relegation woes and ditto that absolute helmet that ignored the whole fan base and hired him. It took Frank a couple of months just to try and repair some of the damage. Not saying he is completely blameless but his heart is in the right place and if we go down we may as well give him a go at building his own squad and getting us back up again.

I would feel pretty angry. Would be nothing more than scapegoating in a desperate attempt to deflect from their own ineptitude
Agree thats nothing other than the board hiding behind another manager but Frank hasn't help himself at times though imo. The only reason I can see would be to try and appoint a seasoned guy like Wilder (I'm not in anyway suggesting this) or someone else of that ilk who has previous experience of moving in between the 2 divisions. I really thought we had moved on from this constant sacking of managers and tbh I don't think it will go down that well with a lot of the fans.

I like him and if we stay up, ive no issue with giving him time.

But if we go down, hes got to walk, hes had enough games to keep us up.
Exactly. Why would we keep somebody who will have palpably failed? He'll have zero credibility if he takes us down. He wasn't hired to oversee our relegation, so if he fails he'll simply have proven he was the wrong appointment. The man who came in after Benitez was tasked with ensuring our survival. It wasn't the most difficult task in the world. Frank is making it seem Herculean. I hope he is our manager next season...in the Premier League.

Wasn't the whole fanbase. You are forgetting the voices of the silent majority who still wish he was here and want Lampard sacked. ?

I take solace from the fact that while Lampard isn't the finished article and is obviously learning so will make mistakes, someone like Cahill was in on the interviews and as Cahill would have run through a brick wall for this club, if he thinks Lampard has the desire and passion for the job, then I would bet he actually does.

I personally think we should stick. He's a good team behind him and we aren't attracting that in the championship. Part of me is also of the reasoning that they should be able to keep us up with the time they were given etc and could understand them being sacked if they fail to do that. But I dread to think who we'd attract instead. Rooney? lol

Your first point will mean that Moshiri never listens to the fans again about football matters. If we get relegated he can say he listened to us when he was about to appoint Periera and look where we ended up, thus fans know nothing.
