Look at Newcastle and Eddie Howe if you think this manager deserves anymore time. At least when Howe and Newcastle were underperforming there was some sort of plan. Now the manager we laughed at being linked to is 2nd and our vanity big Hollywood name has us 17th and about to be relegated. We need a proper manager and we need it NOW.

Citeh away is likely a write off.

Then its Brighton and Southampton at home - even the one win there wont mean much as he's just not consistent enough in getting points on the board.

If the board had sense they would send him packing to sky sports studios tonight and let Big Kev Thelwell bring in his own man to play his preferred system just in time for the January window and those said 2 vital home games.

If we drag it oot then we're down this season realistically.

Keep with Lampard. We had chances to win that we didn't take and we were done by a brilliant counter by wolves. Can't blame him that our midfield was carved apart for the second leaving our defenders isolated against a coordinated wave of attackers.

new manager some crap players won’t change a jot
I don't think so really. Great managers will get a tune out of worse players but we'd still be crap, just not doomed to relegation levels of crap. Look at United under Mourinho vs any of the others since Ferguson, easily their best manager and had to drag them kicking and screaming to 2nd, everyone after that has been a nightmare for them cos of their level of player (obviously much better than us but that's besides the point).

Even Carlo with us was working with much the same group as Lampard is now, plus or minus a few and yes we only ended up 12th but it was a comfortable, disappointing 12th, rather than with Lampard at the minute if he got us 12th it'd be like he pulled off a miracle, despite like I said the players being 80% the same in both groups.

It's just not working out here for Lampard, grateful for last season and he should hold his head high, I'd prefer him to go while we can be saved and look back on him fondly, rather than him staying too long and taking us down, tarnishing everything. For our sakes most importantly but also his.

I want to see news by the end this week of an imminent striker signing.

Well get nothing from either game - because if you dont have a striker you are faced with an uphill battle.

This board need to move heaven and earth to get a deal done by those games.
