2022/23 Frank Lampard

I'd be more likely to believe this if he was a good manager elsewhere but he hasn't been
I doubt hiring Sean Dyche is going to magically turn Maupay into a 15 goal a season attacker

I’m not sure sacking lampard solves anything

All of the other problems would still exist

I’m sure he will be sacked like, but it’s just moving the deck chairs on the Titanic now

As long as the goggle eyed freak owns us we’re screwed

Even if we somehow magically survive this season again, we’re just delaying the inevitable

This is a terribly run football club and sacking Frank Lampard will do very little to fix that

I’m a big big fan of Frank, seems a great man and I will never forget the fact he and his team kept us up last season.

But, this is the first time I’ve accepted the fact he will be sacked soon, it’s just not working at all. It’s not all his fault but unfortunately he’s the manager and must face the consequences for such poor performances and results. The players are a joke and can’t seem to do the basics right but yet get rewarded with new contracts, the tits.

It’s a shame, Franks brought a really good and experienced back room team with him and I genuinely thought we could build and return to a decent team with him at the helm.

It's just a terrible club, hopefully we do a juventus

Today was huge for him.

Two terrible performances v Bournemouth before a 6 week break and then the city game straight after.

I get his hands are tied slightly with DCL injury, poor options. But to go with more or less the exact same setup and get an identical performance to the Bournemouth games is unforgivable.

We will get trounced by city and the pressure for him to go will be too much.

If he stays- and I’m 50/50 on whether I’d sack him or keep him, he has to try something different. Maupay has been tried on his own up front all season. It’s not working. Give Cannon a start. Isaac Price and Stan Mills have look really promising, so give them a game. I get people saying there’s a big leap from u21 to 1st team, but the first team are absolute pants at the minute so roll the dice Frank. I’d rather see Price coming on in the 83rd minute than Doucoure, or Mills starting instead of McNeil.

city is a write off so that won’t be included lol

It may be fair to say he’s been dealt a poor hand with the squad available but he’s responsible for bringing in McNeil and Maupay. He might not have had many options at the outset today but his persistence with these two for as long as he did (80 minutes in Maupay’s case) when it was obvious they were totally out of their depth is a damning indictment. It’s hard to believe he’s had the last 6 weeks to address this team’s failings but it’s obvious nothing has been addressed.
