2022/23 Frank Lampard

I doubt hiring Sean Dyche is going to magically turn Maupay into a 15 goal a season attacker

I’m not sure sacking lampard solves anything

All of the other problems would still exist

I’m sure he will be sacked like, but it’s just moving the deck chairs on the Titanic now

As long as the goggle eyed freak owns us we’re screwed

Even if we somehow magically survive this season again, we’re just delaying the inevitable

This is a terribly run football club and sacking Frank Lampard will do very little to fix that
You say that but Howe got Newcastle winning with the same players Steve Bruce had bottom of the league, even before that 1st window....

Are you suggesting Lampard is the best manager in the world by saying no one else could do better?

How many clubs in the PL have 15 goal strikers mate ?

We need a gulf state takeover to change things ultimately but to simply be sniffing around top 10 we need a proper PL level manager which we currently do not have.

It may be fair to say he’s been dealt a poor hand with the squad available but he’s responsible for bringing in McNeil and Maupay. He might not have had many options at the outset today but his persistence with these two for as long as he did (80 minutes in Maupay’s case) when it was obvious they were totally out of their depth is a damning indictment. It’s hard to believe he’s had the last 6 weeks to address this team’s failings but it’s obvious nothing has been addressed.
You would think a good manager would get more from this squad. Thing is, it seems good managers are very thin on the ground. Very few actually are able to improve a team through good coaching.

The Kenwright era was good, this is a nightmare
It all depends on what you class as good though. Yes under Kenwright we had a team that 'on pitch' was doing ok but we still capitulated every time we played anyone decent because Moyes was so in awe of the big name managers. We also sold our best player at the end of most seasons due to BK's chronic lack of cash and business acumen. Off the pitch it certainly wasn't 'good times' though, we borrowed from some very dubious sources, sold off everything we could and completely failed to develop and grow as a brand. Stuff which has cost the club developmentally years and we are now a long way behind many of our peers. All of that happened long before Farhad Moshiri ever got involved with Everton Football Club. All of this stuff has been building up for years and years imo, Moshiri is just the icing on the top of a very stale Kenwright cake imo.

I think the best thing for the club would be he stays and sorts this out and even just slightly improved us and stabilises us until In the stadium.

Unfortunately it’s not looking good for my preferred outcome

However if he is to go id want them appointing another decent manager that won’t drive half the fan base mad from day one, and that we plan on keeping for the foreseeable future if we do get rid.

However, if the useless clowns at the top have no plan or only an emergency replacement in mind, I’d honestly prefer get Lampard the players needed and let him continue.

It's a results business. When city beat us he will have lost 5 on the spin and probably be in the bottom 3.
Whether or not another manager can do better it's questionable.
But he can have no complaints.
Nice guy. Poor manager .

6 on the spin if you include the B`mouth Cup game, lose to City and it will be 4 points from a possible 31.... And not even at the half way point yet.

Agree we 99% of that but sacking Frank will go a bit of the way to changing things.
He quite clearly using any matrix isn't up to the job.
Go on any other clubs forums and see what they think of him.
They can't believe he is even here in the first place.
