Really wanted Lampard to succeed but today was evident enough, that he’s not good enough. Sadly he’s got a squad of players that believe that they are much better than they are. These players have let different managers down, time and time again. These players need a real reality check and need to be told how terrible they really are.

Don’t think he’s going to last, can’t or won’t adjust his philosphey and we don’t have the players for it. Nice lad and we hoped it would all work out, but a realistic chance of relegation is all bets are off at club this size!

One of my biggest regents in life is supporting a football team

After an hour of careful consideration I’m genuinely tapping out and not watching that team play again for the rest of the season. I’ll pop on here to keep up to date with what’s going on, that’s my only interaction with the football club that’ll be taking place. I can’t do it anymore, they just suck the life out of me and make me miserable, I don’t need that in my life anymore. What have they ever given me back in my life? Nothing.

When you see things like that, it’s hard to not argue for Lampard’a position to be considered.
The problem is though you think we are better than the relegation teams, which we are not.

Or are you of the opinion that we are Top 10?

I thought we were but have realised that we are relegation/marginally above that so losing to these relegation teams is not surprising...

What exactly is his philosophy? We don't play nice football, we don't control possession, we don't press well, don't defend well, don't create anything. I don't get what his philosophy actually is other than "getting us"

He kept Maupay on for 80 minutes (kept Gordon on as well) deserves sacking for these decisions alone
Thought he bought on the wrong cb too...not that Holgate is brilliant (altho id argue hes about par with godfrey) but seemed a strange situation to throw a guy in returning from an injury like Ben had

It's genuinely a terrible hobby

My other three hobbies are films, music and running

My favourite director or musician makes something bad, I do something different. The weather is terrible, I don't run

Football just never ends

Sacking him won't make any difference with the crop of players we have, people just hoping a new manager bounce is enough to keep us up. I really don't think it will matter this time, we have flirted with relegation for to long and I feel this will be the season. You just know Bobby brown shoes will be appointed once the chop comes so what's the point anymore. I've lost my hope had done before the world cup. The club is on its arse and I hate that I don't care as much as I should, I'm kidding myself trying to keep caring but I don't and I know other fans are fed up with it all now. I'm posting this because i feel for the true fans whom spend money and time watching a truly joke of a club. They don't deserve our fans.
Doing nothing isn't the answer either though. His record doesn't suggest he is capable at all

These players have mostly only played under Frank

Honestly glad man City away is our next fixture so I don't have a slither of hope, joy lol

Whether we’re better than such teams or not, you’d be hoping that at home we’d be challenging such teams at getting some results.

Unless we’re the worst squad in the league, which I don’t think we are, then we’re underperforming. We need to become more clinical.

I’d rather we focus on signing players who can score goals rather than search for another manager.

We’re in this predicament because we don’t have players who can consistently be relied upon to score goals. If we had that, I’d have zero doubt that Lampard would have us safely in mid table.
Agree so I am praying we won't sack Lampard before we get 2 attackers in. The last thing we need is being managerless for say 2 weeks and the window being almost over

You make golfyboys posts seem sane and profound
Didn't we replace Benitez with a far more unmerited manager, who hadn't really achieved very much?

Isn't it true that, especially foreign managers, receive far more criticism in the English press than the likes of Stevie G and Lampard? Although they are often far more competent and have more experience.

Haven't some here made fun of Dyche, and similar managers, and undermined their performance, while they have highlighted Lampard as manager?

Are there not some here, who, despite the fact that the opposite has been proven, still claim that Lampard must be given time, and then Everton will improve? Just look at Alex F, Howard Kendall, etc.

As for Benitez, it is of course speculation, and he was never a good hire in terms of history, but I, in terms of background and CV, am far more confident that we would have been in a better situation today.

The longer Lampard is manager, the less time the new manager gets and the more he has to clean up. Let's not waste more valuable time. Because there are no good arguments for continuing with Lampard, as long as you don't believe what his media friends say, and mix up the player and the manager Lampard.
