That today was a team absolutely clueless and useless. That team today deserve to go down. That team today have nothing about them at all. We can call out the board, the manager, the coaching staff, the tea lady and there'll always be nuggets blaming the fans. But all of the above isn't going to get changed is it this month? So what we see on the pitch is what is going to have to try and get themselves out of the hole. Whose up for the fight PLUS has sufficient quality? Tarkowski and Coady won't go missing.....anyone else? Nah I'm not so sure and we look like a really REALLY poor side lacking even in the basics

I've no horse in the race to argue on who'd replace him. We're 4months or so into a rebuild and scrapping the blueprint for a new set of builders with the same tools so.

I'm not sold anyone can improve us without a January window. So IF Thirwell is the head DoF, he'll be having final say on transfers regardless of who the manager is.

He shat it in the last few weeks of the summer window.

He left this manager exposed with no attackers and facing a season with his best attacker already sold.

Emery has a done really good in the Europa league, and that's about it; however, i was shocked he went to Villa after turning down Newcastle. At some of his clubs he's been up and down, Pochettino is on the way up in his career and will probably have big offer around the corner - would he take a massive step down, i can't see it. But i'd have him over the 2.

And personally, i don't think we can afford to be paying managers £10-£15m a year (for a top class one anyway) - think that ship has sailed.

If Lampard gets sacked, I'll put money on it being Nuno

He is but has he got the quality needed? He's shown it in little bursts but he's not at it full pelt either.

Villa have a better squad than we do and he'll have been promised a kitty for Jan. Also have saleable assets to spend in the summer as well as a nice wage.

Since we sacked Rafael I'm sure we can't afford a "name" manager on a huge wage with a big sack clause.
