DIRECT, HIGH INTENSITY, AGGRESSIVE FOOTBALL

How hard is it for Everton managers to understand

Our passing is aimless and tedious. Get the ball forward quickly and make it horrible for the opposition

Pickford passing to the centre half who rolls it back to him and then he waits to be closed down before hoofing it to a 5ft 8 centre forward is just infuriating.

Over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again!

I think Lampard is out of his depth tactically and most managers have figured him out.

The players are not without fault but he cannot read the game while it is happening. He is reactive instead of proactive, just like our squad.

A better manager doesn't rely on Gordon despite the lack of resources or make like for like subs while trying to win a game.

He is his own worst enemy. His team look slow and predictable.

Poch or Tuchel instantly improve that side by demanding more and training harder.

You said when he said he'd consider any premier League team that he meant top 10?

West Ham are level with us. Leicester only 3 points above us. Your saying he'd go to both those clubs but not us?

Newcastle would have took him already IMO if they wanted him

He apparently wants the Prem and will consider any club.

You think he'd go to Leicester or West Ham, but not us?

Disagree.

He's not Ancelotti. He did well at Spurs. That's it.

Top 10 - marginally joking but then answered the idea that if he was looking for a prem club that could afford him, what would be a team that need a gaffer? Top 6 don't need him/aren't looking. Chelsea have already got Potter. So you're looking at Fulham, Brentford, Brighton. All aren't looking or could afford him..

So that leaves the bigger names. And IMO while West Ham and Leicester are around us at the moment...they're having poor seasons but on paper they have very good squads especially compared with last season.

Villa and West Ham are also financial secure (at the moment). Leicester have a very good side in a bad place and would be easier to get a tune out of.

In relation to us...we have a brand new squad that's still threadbare, hit and miss, that still needs more additional players, very little money, who still need to offload before it spends.

Newcastle - he was still at PSG and they don't have the power to pull those names. Howe has come in and is doing a job. The minute he doesn't, they'll be scouting the "names".

While I agree he's not Ancellotti or Emery (and I'm not that big a fan)...he's still one of the top managers in football who will want to manage a team that need a push to compete...not to build from scratch.

I see mate so West Ham and Leicester is realistic but no chance he's coming to Everton...

?

The crazy thing is we'll time and time again throw £20-30m and £80,000 a week on utterly terrible players, but will continue with managers proven to have failed with us almost until it's too late.

Watch us stick with Lampard, give him £25m to buy another turkey as bad as Maupay, and then get relegated, when we could use that money to deservedly fire him and his staff ASAP and replace them with a proper manager and backroom team.

Then, if money is tight as we expect, selling Gordon for £15-20m (if there are still any suckers about) and spending that money plus whatever extra money we can find/loan/generate through sales on a non-UK based striker with a half decent reputation would be a gamble that should be taken.

Gordon doesn't need replacing because he's crap, just like McNeil and Gray are crap. Replace him with Stanley Mills as a squad player and we'll probably be better for it if we can bring in somebody capable of scoring goals too.
