In all seriousness if he wasn't a brilliant player, there would be very little argument for him.

We'll, besides "we can't keep sacking managers"
We also can't expect a new manager to make things better if the same owner and board remain.

We've tried literally all types of manager. None of them have worked. But they certainly weren't all bad coaches.

We are going to need to make a change but there's little prospect of much improvement. Managers are not the problem. Especially not with a mid table championship level front line.

Where else does he go mate?

IF he's anchoring for the prem I personally say Newcastle would be top of his list. Then Leicester, West Ham, and Villa before Emery.

Newcastle will end up being the "it" club. West Ham and Villa have good squads, solid financially. Leicester (while a mess financially) have a squad you'd think he do a job like he did at Spurs.

If not...a big name in Europe like Inter, Lyon, or even club's with rich owners wanting to compete like Nice for example.

We're currently on par with Southampton, Leeds, and the nearly promoted club's than a club having just a poor season.

Turned down a few bob for Gordon too.

Add the amount paid for Gana, Garner and Onana and suddenly you scratch your head how the DOF/Manager allowed season to start with that front line - without a single player proven to score or create consistently.
I don’t get this DOF/Manager combination. Who is actually responsible for the poo we are in? Who is making the call on the players we sign. Now this is worrying we must sign the right attacking players now.

I'm not sure we have tbh, if you look at/make a list of what the criteria for the job role would be. Have we ever actually appointed a manager that fits that role? not for me. Also we have never really appointed a proper training ground coach type, someone like Klopp or Tuchel a real tracksuit manager who just wants to improve and work with the players.

I don't see the logic behind those who wish to stick with Lampard.

Fair enough in former managers - Carlo and Benitez were world class managers, Silva had won pots in Portugal and Greece and Alladyce had taken a poor EFC side into 8th.

This fella is more suited to SSN punditry.

Carlo went to Real and won the champions league.

Benitez is still on the dole.

Only one world class manager there mate.

Yes, Silva

He is clearly a very good coach. With hindsight, was sacked too soon.

Lost his job due to the shambolic transfer strategy of Marcel Brands

You said when he said he'd consider any premier League team that he meant top 10?

West Ham are level with us. Leicester only 3 points above us. Your saying he'd go to both those clubs but not us?

Newcastle would have took him already IMO if they wanted him

He apparently wants the Prem and will consider any club.

You think he'd go to Leicester or West Ham, but not us?

Disagree.

He's not Ancelotti. He did well at Spurs. That's it.

Think that argument happens at every club nowadays.

The thing is, Lampard never had a shout on transfers at Chelsea.

Thelwell also never had a shout at transfers at Wolves.

But at Everton...
