Francis, FFS will you stick to this type of approach.

When Lampard sets us up to be compact we are a different proposition.

Save the football for when we have better players.

I agree Dave, but the problem is some games we have to and win. That being said, excellent performance and set up today.

I know it'll be tempting because we got a "positive" result to think we must have done some things well and that maybe we're turning a corner. I'll gladly pour the necessary cold water on that. We still have to play way, way better in the next two matches to get the actual good results we're going to need.
It's one game. Far too small a sample size to deduce much of worth, but a great point and a huge boost. The next two league games will give us a better picture.

Brentford went there recently and won 2-1.

It was a good point considering our dire league position but its not like we've just won 2-0 playing them off the park its taken a wonder goal to nick a point.

If we fail to beat Brighton he still has to go otherwise its 3 wins in 18. Fans cant demand higher standards from the owner/chairman/board even manager and players but be content with that kind of win %.

So what if Brentford won there. The rest of the league don't..

Do people actually see something different week to week? This is how we've been playing all year, just City are better at pinning you in than most sides.

He has got to ignore the Utopian ideologues who aspire to pretty football when you've got the wasters we have committing crimes against football. It's all about results now: being solid, well-organised, grafting for each other, and taking whatever chances we can create while keeping the door shut. We have a very good goalkeeper and two solid central defenders. It's a basis - and arguably our strongest area of the pitch. Maximise it!
I said it earlier in the week: FL had results like this one today last season on the run in...but then went out to 'lesser' teams and attacked them.

I hope he's learned his lesson at last.

Still needs to get more of an attacking threat into this side. But is what we need to see the rest of the season desire and fight in every game

Just get the fella some forwards. I think thats the real time to judge. Goals against is 6th in the league. -7 goal average.
Isnt rocket science. We wont be world beaters but i do think we'll sit around the middle if we actually had any sort of forward line.
