Brentford went there recently and won 2-1.

It was a good point considering our dire league position but its not like we've just won 2-0 playing them off the park its taken a wonder goal to nick a point.

If we fail to beat Brighton he still has to go otherwise its 3 wins in 18. Fans cant demand higher standards from the owner/chairman/board even manager and players but be content with that kind of win %.
Totally, he saved his job for a few more days, but we have a long way to go, let's hope the blues can fight on.

He definitely does. But his failure to demand additional attacking players takes a lot of that goodwill away for me.

Never once heard him come out and state in simple terms what will happen if he's not backed. Can't imagine any half decent manager just quietly getting on with their job when they'll be fired for getting the team relegated when it's mostly on the board for their abject failure to back him.
That's down to the board sellking Richarlison.

His biggest mistake was buying Maupay and McNeil.

He saved us last zseason. Never underestimate that achievement.

And if he gets a couple in this window he'll do it again.

An unexpected point doesn’t change a great deal. Today was the anomaly.

Lose at home to Brighton and it counts for nothing other than 1 point out of 9 since the restart, which would probably see him sacked at most clubs.
Mate we have just drawn with probably the best team in Europe away, that changes a lot. confidence for a start which is massive in sport.

Every single point helps in our situation. This is a point that most of our direct rivals will not get, so we need to be thankful and give credit where it's due.

Yes it means a lot less if we lose on Tuesday. But it is a point that clearly helps.

Ifs and buts - however he's an affable chap who everybody genuinely wants to succeed.

Maupay and McNeil are two huge mistakes, let's see if he gets to bring in another striker to make up for that. If not, him and Thelwell well and truly wasted the little cash they had available to them.

If we do go down, people will say "bloody hell, he spent £75m on Onana, Garner, Maupay and McNeil, what a disastrous waste".

Just show discipline and bottle. Do the simple stuff right and run into space when we can. Like we did today. UTFT. Also get Davies starting or on as a sub if not 90 minutes fit. More points with him playing than without him.

On its own it changes nothing. It’s a very good point, if it’s followed by a win on Tuesday then I think the situation (in terms of his job) changes, if we lose then we’re ultimately still 3/5 points worse off from the first week back than we would realistically have hoped to be, and so it changes nothing. We should be pleased and enjoy the result without getting carried away.
