We really aren't that far off being a fairly decent mid table premier league side. The team often gets results when DCL starts up top. Obviously he can't be relied upon due to injuries so if we sign another striker then it will make a lot of difference. Maupay was a dreadful signing but I doubt Lampard was overly keen either - there wasn't much out there and it seemed to be a signing for numbers as much as anything else. Pleasing to see him in his role going forward - bring on for 15-20 mins to run around.20 goals conceded so far. I think we'll see considerably less than the 66 conceded last season, for sure.
He's had it right most of the season, He cant make players miss easy goal chances.Got it right today,

Completely agree. We really aren't that far off being a fairly decent mid table premier league side. The team often gets results when Dominic Calvert-Lewin starts up top. Obviously he can't be relied upon due to injuries so if we sign another striker then it will make a lot of difference. It's not easy to sign a quality Premier League striker that will score 15 league goals but we need one. Ideally a quality centre mid on the ball and a better left back/wing back but obviously centre forward the priority.
They'd be 'kin stupid then. Some will argue it's been a fluke
Yeah that's what I mean when I say City are better. I don't think we played it forward faster because we didn't want to "fanny about" so much as City force the aimless long ball in two passes instead of ten. It’s not though, is it?
It’s just that we’re not very good at playing football, so we fanny about with it because we can’t break through the lines, before going back to the keeper and hoofing it long to Maupay when he’s got a grock or 2 marking him close. And repeat this for the majority of 90 mins.
We haven’t tried to hit teams on the break very often at all.
Every single point helps in our situation. This is a point that most of our direct rivals will not get, so we need to be thankful and give credit where it's due.
Yes it means a lot less if we lose on Tuesday. But it is a point that clearly helps.
I can't believe people actually believe thisHe's had it right most of the season, He cant make players miss easy goal chances.
We also won 11. Also a number we aren't reaching. We lost 21 games last season. We don't get anywhere near that, we stay in the league.
I've said previously I can't see this team losing that many games.
