I back anything in association with Everton. FL knew we need results too. I rather he turns this around and we stay up and don’t need to sack a manager simply for survival. As I have said before, if we stay up, he gets a free pass for me this season. We have to start winning at home.

On its own it changes nothing. It’s a very good point, if it’s followed by a win on Tuesday then I think the situation (in terms of his job) changes, if we lose then we’re ultimately still 3/5 points worse off from the first week than we would realistically have hoped to be, and so it changes nothing. We should be pleased and enjoy the result without getting carried away.

If we get 4 points from the next 2 at home then things will start to look better, but Tuesday is still a massive game. I wouldn't go as far as must win but it's must not lose

Fair point but he's already earned the good faith for last season in my opinion. I want us to push on but we have to be realists.

It shouldn’t but it does . It lets them off, they carry on as normal thinking everything is alright. It isn’t.

Too many times short term reactionary thinking has held this club back. A decent result or two and we go back to form. I’m fed up of it , seeing the same things said and nothing changes substantially for the better.

I do support the team and manager, it’s in my interest for them to do well. That should not change the fact Everton need much better custodians if you want a better club altogether.

I don’t expect anything other than staying up this season. Next summer we will clear quite a lot of unwanted players and will sign a few. We must improve next season, I say 10th is the aim. Being realistic here.

Are the finances doing good enough to support Lampard. Maybe not. Still we can't let that impact our love for the blues. Nothing wrong with being savvy to it though.
