you are a joke lad

Dont ever tell me the board have low standards when you're gushing over 3 wins in 17 league games mate. Martinez often would pluck 1 result oot the bag and you would have Kenwright in the media telling us "what a manager".

Solid result today but we're still a poor side, in a relegation scrap with a manager with the 3rd lowest win % in our 'istory.

Level heeds, perspective over the season so far and not knee jerk reactions are needed my friend.

I know it'll be tempting because we got a "positive" result to think we must have done some things well and that maybe we're turning a corner. I'll gladly pour the necessary cold water on that. We still have to play way, way better in the next two matches to get the actual good results we're going to need.
The losses haven't been capitulation though. Sometimes we haven't had the luck or been clinical enough. On us but we are seeing sprouts of his vision.

I don't really think there is much of a case to say we haven't been lucky and complaining about how clinical we are completely misses the boat on why we don't score goals.

So I hope we aren't seeing the sprouts of anything because that would be horrendous.

An unexpected point doesn’t change a great deal. Today was the anomaly.

Lose at home to Brighton and it counts for nothing other than 1 point out of 9 since the restart, which would probably see him sacked at most clubs.

Do people actually see something different week to week? This is how we've been playing all year, just City are better at pinning you in than most sides.
It’s not though, is it?

It’s just that we’re not very good at playing football, so we fanny about with it because we can’t break through the lines, before going back to the keeper and hoofing it long to Maupay when he’s got a grock or 2 marking him close. And repeat this for the majority of 90 mins.

We haven’t tried to hit teams on the break very often at all.

Good point today that, needs to get a striker or two in as soon as the window opens. Otherwise he's just asking to be sacked.

So will the next manager if no forwards are brought in.
Dunno whats gone on with this club in the past 12 months with that. Its so obvious to everyone. Poor all round from everyone at the club.

Takes a lot of credit for sorting the defence out.
He definitely does. But his failure to demand additional attacking players takes a lot of that goodwill away for me.

Never once heard him come out and state in simple terms what will happen if he's not backed. Can't imagine any half decent manager just quietly getting on with their job when they'll be fired for getting the team relegated when it's mostly on the board for their abject failure to back him.
