I’m not fine with the idea at all, I want us to win…badly. I’m just extremely wary about anything that implies we ‘should’ win or we ‘expect’ to win. We just have no basis for that expectation seeing as we’re one of the worst clubs in the league at the moment. Even when we were decent I’d never want to say that because any team in the league can shock anyone as we’ve just seen with Brentford beating City at the Etihad and then us smash and grabbing a point.

If we play well, we can win, same way we did against Palace. If we’re not at that level then any team in this league is capable of punishing us at Goodison especially Brighton who are decent.

We’re getting into the ‘have’ to win territory though so coyb.
This entirely. We need to feel like we are the underdog in every game we play - we aren't definitively "better" than anyone in the PL at the moment - we need to grind out every point we get.

And as supporters, we can't assume any wins

About 3 times you have posted that. Kinda raises eyebrows, y,know.

I'd have gone with the same but with Douc' in for Onana - but I don't see the players train nor whether they have recovered from City.

Sincerely hope he gets it right tonight.
