Didn’t think we were that bad first half but the collapse second half was worrying - players looked all over the place and just gave up. Looked like so many performances of last season.

If he loses the players he has to go, they’ll have to really show they’re behind him in the next few games and get some results otherwise it’s the inevitable.

We pressed well and won the ball back high up...but the problem was we didn't have a clue what to do after that. Their winger then absolutely roasted Patterson and that was that.

2nd half... Brighton let us have the ball knowing we wouldn't do anything and sprung traps. Easy.

Lampard did absolutely nothing to respond to that. Made changes after the 3rd goal went in. No system adjustments, change of play...

He's been moaning that he hasn't had Dom back...and now he did showed nothing to say he'd been missing. When Maupay was playing we'd boot it up to him, when Dom was playing we're 'trying' to play football. He's clueless.

Shouldn't have been hired in the first place. Knew he couldn't defend. Couldn't get promoted with a decent Derby team. Couldn't compete at the top with a good Chelsea squad. What made anyone think he could do a job here with this useless, mismanaged, thrown together squad?

I do feel for him because the club failing is absolutely not entirely his fault. But hard to back him because at the end of the day he isn't getting results and points are what matters.

Well he personally can't do it but a real manager would be able to use any of these and both attack and defend competently at the same time. It's not about the numbers. It's about not being able to both keep shape and prevent the other team from having chances while also putting our side in positions where they might create some and score themselves.

It's not just the formation though, it's how we play. Regardless of the formation we play the same turgid passing back and forth stuff.

Play it long, or direct at least, DCL should be able to win a few balls, Maupay may even get on the end of a flick on, Gray can use his pace to run on to a ball etc.

As it is we all just sit and wait for us to mess up whilst the crowd gets more and more annoyed as the same players do the same stupid things over and over again.
