You are assuming this football club has an actual plan and isn’t just winging it on a game to game basis.
I think we MIGHT be looking at replacements and keeping Lampard in place till then it's not quite as toxic as with benitez and there is no obvious temp Manager, this is my optimistic take lol

The question was "he's never had a relegation on his CV".

He has.
Plus he had about 15 games to get them out of trouble though @Littlesue will be able to confirm how long he was given.

Edit - he took over West Brom on 20th December 2020, 13 matches into the season. So he had 25 matches plus the whole of the January window at his disposal.
he may have had the whole of the January window but no money, he bought in 3 decent loans but it wasn't enough. Certain players down tools when Billic was sacked as he was easy going Manager as opposed to Allerdyce who is strict on diet and training. Players like Diangana and Periera sulked as the were free flowing players under Billic. We all wanted him to stay last season as we thought he had the chance to get us back up but he turned the offer down as he knew we were skint and still stuck with same players on long contracts.

I seriously am having doubts on that.
Im trying. But watching them is making it so hard to believe otherwise. Bit of huff n puff at times. But i just cant see anything of quality.
There's certainly very little quality, but there appears to have been no attempt to go back to basics with a view to just grinding out some results and making the most of what we've got. Another manager isn't going to transform us into a great side who rockets up the table, but it's genuinely quite hard to see them doing any worse than we've done so far, and they may well eke enough out of the team to pick up the points to stay up, something I am really struggling to see happening under Lampard.

Reading many comments it seems quite a few think getting rid of lampard is going to fix things. Its a risk i'd be happy to take but i also dont think it will change much. The problems are to deep rooted. But i'd certainly go with it. I'll go with anything that keeps us up.

It isn’t going to fix the club no, but it’s the most immediate thing that can be done to fix one of the problems. The board will take a little longer to drive out, but as a fanbase we must keep the pressure on and not fall back into a malaise like we did over the summer.

It certainly won't fix things. This season was always going to be tough, and my expectations were low, but we're some way below even what I would have accepted. I was all for keeping Lampard even though I didn't really rate him, just to get a bit of stability, but I think recent performances have dropped from being a bit disappointing to genuinely alarming, and when that happens it's difficult to see how the manager can turn it round.

I think you might be surprised what a competent manager could do with this squad I mean we weren't this bad in the early part of the season which suggests the manager has lost the plot as unlike in previous seasons we don't have that big an injury list.

Thank you for confirming Sue that he was manager when West Brom got relegated and that he was a fat horrible gravy slurping disgrace of a manager and that Sammy Lee really does stink of piss.

Good to get it all cleared up so that people stop claiming he hasn't got a relegation on his CV

Oh the sweet sweet Big Mac sauce irony of it all lol

I respect all opinions but I cannot see anyone better than Dyche considering the job, and I am terrified someone like West Ham or Southampton get him while we putter about with this terrible manager or someone like Bobby Brownshoes.
Hadn’t thought of that. I could absolutely see him turning up at Southampton and rescuing them.
