They haven't even thought about our next manager until the other night its why the club is a joke most good clubs have a list of potential managers. We never have anyone ready when we sack a manager we take an age to do anything that's at the heart of our issues: how we are run.
I can tell them it's Dyche or bust if they want

It's infuriating really isn't it!? Every job in the world requires some sort of contingency plan if things go wrong, the fact a football club and billion pound business doesn't beggars belief

One result?? One result didn't get us into this terrible position, loads of 'results' did!
I get that , so sack him . Or sack him after Bournemouthx2 and give yourself time to find a replacement and bed him in. Instead we seem likely to find ourselves in this weird limbo where we burn another week of the transfer window and he gets another game. Say he beats United with a back to the wall performance or gets a creditable draw , does he limp on to Southampton ? What if he loses or draws that ? Is he immediately gone , but a win against them does that give him another 2 games or just 1 ?

It feels like if they want him gone they need to sack him , Game by game ultimatums feels like death by a thousand cuts . I’m not saying sack him now , frankly I’ve no idea and feel numb to just about anything .

The problem is, we already have limited funds(Simms returning) and paying compo to Frank and his staff would mean less funds. Can't see any new manager getting immediate transfers in

Can't figure out why they are waiting and what the inevitable loss to United will or won't prove in that context.

I don't want to see us lose any game and/or take a pasting anywhere either.

Given the likelihood of losing the game anyway, if that proves to be the final straw then it will still ultimately be for the better.

You're assuming that they 'want him gone' with all that though. The logical thing to think is that they don't want him gone, but are aware that there comes a point where you just have to bite the bullet and say enough's enough. On that basis, yes, he's probably got to pick up results semi consistently in order to stay in the job. I think it's being blown up into something it's not, because it's effectively how every club operates. They clearly believed Lampard was the man to take us forward, if he is sacked at any point then it will be because they've changed their mind and don't believe he is anymore. There will always have been one thing or one game which tips the scales from the former to the latter, whether it was the Bournemouth game or United game makes no difference in that sense. Just to be clear, I would also have sacked him earlier, I'm talking about the logic of making the decision, not the end result.

I wouldnt be surprised. I'd be gobsmacked.
I dont think he's lost the plot. A few days ago we got a point at the current champions. What i think he could be is nieve to think they can do anything other than dig in, like the city game. We've had the worst possession stats in the prem for about 4/5 years.
Trust me i admire the optimism but there isnt much there.
Nah mate we are better than 18th and getting walloped 4-1 at home to Brighton. I don't think a new guy would have us flying up the table but anyone decent would eek out a bit more in terms of results and it is so tight at the bottom that little bit of improvement is it all it takes to get us out of the zone.

Take the Wolves game we conceded at the death when they had settled for a draw if you take those 2 points off them and 1 more to us we would be above them in the table. Now psychologically that is a big thing as they look like they are on the up whereas if we had took the point in that game they would be winless with 2 of their next 3 against Man City and Liverpool and we could have opened up a gap instead of looking up at them in the table.

Yep. In fact, if a miracle occurs whereby we do scrape a draw or even beat United, it'll probably make the situation worse as it is only masking the inevitable and giving the board even less time to find and appoint a new manager. Frank is finished, the board know it but are not prepared to act, and it'll take us down.

Brighton are so far ahead of us its ridiculous

I watch most teams in this league and right now only southampton look as void in ability as Everton.
We are not even anywhere near mid table good enough as there is certainly not 10 worse teams in the division.

I watched leeds v west ham last night. They both could have won it. But what really stood out is how mobile and attacking they both looked. And they are our neighbours down there.

I can only go with what my eyes see almost week in week out. Really average players who just dont deliver.
