You cannot base a decision on 1 decent performance that we still lost 3- 1 in. It isnt based upon humiliation. It is now 1 win in the last 13 games no matter how you look at it and there were some decent performances in them games too. Nowhere near good enough. Worst run since Mike Walker.

Knee jerk is keeping him simply because we were not humiliated. Tough game, football, but yet another loss tonight and 1 win in 11. Only a gambler entrusts this fella with our Premier League status at this point.
The stats are absolutely terrifying.

Sick of hearing people saying: “I do like Lampard though…”

Honestly, it’s irrelevant. He is taking us down

I think tonight shouldn’t ever have been the deciding factor.

If the “lose against United and he’s gone,” line turns out to be true, then it’s utterly fatuous. Especially if the context of a much-improved performance isn’t considered.

It’s totally arbitrary and lacks any intelligence.
Lacking any intelligence…Everton’s board… sounds plausible.

Yeah, I don't really know where I stand on Lampard but if they didn't sack him after Brighton they shouldn't sack him after that. It was a spirited display and until the final kick a narrow defeat against a far superior opponent, that but for a narrow offside call could have been a replay.

They aren’t sacking him because of the result tonight. That would be crazy, if a manager got sacked because of one result alone Pep would have gone before the World Cup for losing to Brighton and Klopp for losing to Brentford.

Lampard should be sacked and not because of tonight in isolation but because of his record as a whole and the fact that he has been given all the time to show improvement and he hasn’t

I said this before the match. But I think they made their minds up a while ago and we are simply going through the usual choreography. That third goal gives these clowns an opening to finish it properly - but they might not be ready to do that just yet given their legendary succession management stylings.

And we risk a vital 3 points against a relegation rival, we did it with benitez and Norwich, through 3 points away when they were losing to everyone.

We need a bounce to get them points imo

I don't care if it showed improvement in performance I will also point out our players turned up at City because their attitudes are rotten and they try in the glamour games. Against Saints is where it counts, it's against Brighton, Wolves and Bournemouth and Lamps just hasn't got it tactically for me another loss, results matter and the verdict is in. It isn't good enough from the entire club

Sounds about right for our board then
