Sack him and it's more of the same from the board, though. Lampard has underperformed, nobody is denying that, but the board have been worse and for 6 years. Replace the board and then make a decision on the coaching staff. That is the only way forward.
But that is not going to happen before we go down. We need to do something now! and a new manager is the only option available.

Bit disingenuous that. We set up right and played much better.. a combination of bad luck & equally bad ref calls were the main reason we lost tonight really.
Looking half decent for 20 minutes doesn’t stop the fact he’s won 4 in 21 & currently 1 in 12.

Is the bar really that low that he gets another game? We chased Benitez out the club after 1 win in 13.

It showed the offside and it looked like some dodgy photo finish from the 3.35 at Beverley! Was it his toe or arm pit hair this time

Terrified old Bill think this is like when Moyes finished 17th, football doesn't work that way anymore and we need a new manager NOW or else our 70 year stay in the top flight is in jeopardy

The problem with "giving him Southampton" is that if it goes wrong then we have lost a six-pointer, wasted yet another plausibly winnable game under a new man, and lost more time to get a new man in...who will then have next to no time to use the window.

The whole point of replacing Frank after Brighton - at the latest - was to give us the best chance to save the season. If we're not going to pull the trigger now, then the upside of a new man is hugely diminished by the delay. At that point, we may as well stick with Lampard. The damage will already be done.
